On the surface, seems like a good lead.

That said, I'd be interested to see his body of work at McNeese. Don't know enough to criticize either way.

He would provide a good connection to the Monroe high school recruiting market.

IMO we need to focus on getting someone who will develop these guys better than we've been doing for that spot.

Use the TE coach spot to get another recruiter.

I don't the guy but the obvious question is how do you go from mighty Bama to McNeese State, no offense yo McNeese. What is his track record at Bama and McNeese of getting high draft pics

Former LSU lineman.... seems like a solid choice for an interview.

For the record, this isn't a hire you make for recruiting NLA, this is a hire you make to get the line's act together.

he went from weight room assistant and video breakdown @ Bama to OL coach @ McNeese, that's how.

Agree with some others, you don't hire an OL coach with recruiting in mind. The recruiting part is gravy. I want an OL coach that can coach up the talent we have. Getting talent at LSU isn't an issue.

So if this guy is only being used for the recruiting angle. Who will actually coach our OLine?

I would love to see LSU put offensive linemen back in the first round.

Who is claiming the hire is only for recruiting purposes? He would certainly have contacts in the Monroe area since he came out of Neville HS. But is that the only reason he is being considered? I don't see evidence of that.
