Exactly. if I could run any offense, I'd run the pro style ones like FSU, UGA, and Michigan State run. With decent QB play, those offenses are very effective. They are also not HUNH, and they rely on a good running game to complement the passing game.

Exactly. Also, you are an underrated poster. I really enjoy your post. You're as logical as they come.

I think Malzahn just went 8-4.

Gus Bus > Miles though right?

If LSU had won the SEC in 2013 and had the same number of returning starters that Auburn did most of these guys would be calling for Miles immediate termination after an 8-4 season.

Idiots.

Season totals bro. You can't hand pick games. fricking silly.

Oregon is ranked 95th in total defense you stupid prick. It's like you just thought of a HUNH team and hoped that they had a defense worth something.

You are sinking ever further into the quicksand with every post you make. Quit before suffocate.

I'm going to guess here also... teams that are top-25 in both offense and defense (scoring? yardage?)

With some confidence:
Mich St
Wisconson

Maybe? not confident in my guess:
Oklahoma
Ohio St

Does OK run HUNH? The other 3 don't.

Not I! I said all along Arkansas was stupid for not hiring him. Will he be the greatest? No, but he is a very good coach.

Cool. I'm great with getting rid of 3rd and Chavis and his 4th quarter big game prevent defense that let our opponents march down the field to score. Muschamp is now looking for a job. LSU's Defense has NEVER better than it was when he was our DC. Same for his tenure at Auburn and Alabama. Say what you will about him as HC of Florida but he's a beast of a defensive coordinator.

It sure was nice of Boom to take time to run LSU's D in 2011 despite being UF's head coach. I hope we paid him nicely for all the OT he must have put in to pull that off.

ETA: I do agree with the rest of your point though. Boom is a helluva DC.

Our red-zone TD% would still be horrendous.

The dude literally posted zero facts in this thread. Bowing to a guy that went full-retard several times in this thread isn't a good look.

No its called attrition. Something LSU has to deal with on a massive scale.

Only LSU's attrition is mostly from undergrads who leave early because they are sick of a head coach who can't come up with a winning game plan that doesn't involve leaving the defense on the field for 45 minutes.

Drizztiger has fricking stupided up the 1st page of this thread so bad I can't bring myself to read anymore, but I'd just like to point out that Bama--which I think everyone could agree has a good defense--got into a scoring match with Auburns offense and wound up giving up 44 points and 600+ yards of offense. Hats off to them---it's certainly a credit to them that they won--but you can't win 14-15 games a year like that. It has never happened. Eventually, you will get bit.

Heupel ran a pass heavy HUNH spread with Landry Jones and Sam Bradford.

i don't think they have with Trevor Knight at the helm though. Their defense is also ranked 57th.

So I have yet to see a HUNH team with a good defense. I would say Baylor, but they play the worse competition. Every decent offense has ran up and down on them.
