Hayfield is over a mile from campus.

If you tailgate up and down Nicholson, then its certainly closer than the Free lots.

i really hope i dont have to move close to the hayfield lot. what a terrible area to tailgate.

This is also to help those of you going to JerryWorld for the LSU/Oregon game next year to prepare for parking. You haven't paid for parking unless you've paid Jerry for parking.

Does anyone other than students and the people in the Old Alex Boy reserved lot really tailgate in that area?
One group has season parking passes and the other group doesnt have to pay to park oncampus for games.
Next to nobody tailgates in the Hayfields and levee lots. Ita a barren wasteland smelling of cow shite.

You cant park in a six flags lot for $15? Its half a mile away.

I tailgate on the other side of campus, but walking to the bars after games while I was in school, I would see all kinds of tents up and down Nicholson, so someone is tailgating over there.

Reserved spots mean something.

But it's the closest lot to the area I was describing. Also, people tailgate near the Vet School and these lots would be the closet available parking.
Personally, it doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint to charge for these lots and leave Kirby Smith, the AG lot, and the Law School open for free. If anything, you'd think it would be the exact opposite.

This is what I dont get. Hayfield and Levee lots should be free parking.
The Kirby Lot and AG lot should be $20. They are much closer to the stadium and the areas where most people tailgate. Especially Kirby which isnt a far walk at all to the stadium.
What will happen is because those lots are free and the remote lots are charging there will be an increase in traffic in the areas trying to get to Kirby and areas east of Highland. The areas on campus that are nice will be trashed in areas that went untouched before.
Who gives a damn if the Hayfield lot is trashed? Its a cow pasture and easy to clean! Nobody steps foot on them until game days. People will go to the free areas first before going there.
The East side of campus is also the worst for leaving in traffic and it will only get worse.

Yes people that are students who dont have to pay to park. Why would they park in the hayfield lots and pay? What student is going to want to pay 20 each game to park?

I don't think anyone on this board, except for the ones who are selling this B.S., gives one big sh.. about how EVERYONE else does it this way. B.fing S. Buttttt... I believe the ones in power are going to make sure that not anyone except the money machines are going to have access. Just look at the changes since the east addition was built.

For those bitching about losing your spot ...
YOU DON'T HAVE A RESERVED SPOT. Quit acting spoiled. You've parked in the same unguaranteed spot for 3 years .... For free. If you don't want to pay, there are still free lots. Park there and walk your fatass to the game.
If you want a reserved parking pass, pay the piper and get a letter parking pass.
The fricking whining on here is absurd.

I stopped reading at page 6, but I'm fairly certain you haven't changed your tune.
You are the type of person who would get raped in prison on the first day, or fragged by your own troops in a theatre of war.
Just sayin'.

So next year before a game lets say it rains a lot, will the grass lots be closed?
remember last year when the lots were closed for 1/2 the games?
I'm guessing in the future they wont be closed because they'll cost $20 to park there
