LSU suspended their coach based on nothing but a Pete Thamel story.

Let that sink in. There is no NCAA or FBI investigation into LSU. None.
Even if the dialogue on the tapes turn out to be real, and the NCAA somehow gets them ( they won't, its illegal since Will Wade is not part of the FBI investigation ), Nothing on the tapes would be grounds for punishment from the NCAA.
There is no payment, there is no proof that a payment was even considered. There is only a Yahoo story.
Its embarrassing that we are the only school that suspended our coach based on nothing but a media report.

Even if the dialogue on the tapes turn out to be real, and the NCAA somehow gets them ( they won't, its illegal since Will Wade is not part of the FBI investigation ), Nothing on the tapes would be grounds for punishment from the NCAA.
There is no payment, there is no proof that a payment was even considered. There is only a Yahoo story.

They suspended him on a Friday just after that story broke. A meeting was scheduled for that morning which Wade agreed to then the admin changed the parameters on by telling Wade not only would the NCAA be present but that Wade’s lawyers wouldn’t be allowed to attend. So no Wade agreed to meet and the admin ruined that not Wade. He was suspended because of an unconfirmed media story.

The sad part is that they do not want him, even after bringing the program back to life. To get the things he has asked his bosses for, he has to perform well. Unfortunately for those above him, he exceeded those expectations and at some point they have to provide the program with things he asked for. Let's hope for a firing of Fing and Alleva instead. It does not look good at this point though

We/You don't know that to be true. We/You don't know what information LSU/NCAA has that we are unaware of. I suspect LSU is aware of additional information since the first media publication of the FBI wiretaps. The reality is that we/you do not know. We should not be critical about something that we may not have all of the facts/evidence. If WW had a reasonable explanation for everything at the meeting yesterday, I thought he would be reinstated. I'm not sure what transpired but whatever it was, I'm guessing it did not work in WW's favor. I would think that LSU is just as anxious to reinstate WW as WW is to be back at the helm.

Mark Emmert stated publicly that the NCAA and the FBI were "working together." There are many ways the NCAA can obtain the information needed from the FBI (transcript, summary, etc.). The NCAA does not require "ironclad" proof to determine a ruling. And, they accept "findings, rulings, etc." from other sources (as outlined in the new additions to the NCAA compliance handbook).

The NCAA does not need proof. They are not a court of law. If they think it has occurred, then it did.

The FBI cant legally give the NCAA access to wire taps of Will Wade. Do you think that they would give me access if i asked? There is no difference between me and the NCAA.
When Emmert stated they were working together, it meant that the NCAA was giving info to the FBI, not the other way around.
