They were actually in a bidding war on the same house.

And whoever won the bidding war would become the new coach at LSU

You see that is what we get for having Les as a coach istead of Tubby. Tubby did not change a game with LSU a few years back.

I think this whole post is b.s. No one will say where they heard that there even would be an announcement. Also, the storm is coming one day later than they thought it was coming yesterday and they said no effect on the game as of yesterday....this is just stupid...

It's almost required to NOT have any sense on this board ...
I'm not looking forward to waking up early AGAIN BUT frankly let's just move the game to aa, now we can watch a game yell our lungs out and then head home and figure crap out there
Problem solved, I do believe I heard somewhere that ESPN said they'd do whatever, I mean they kinda got to with the situation, would you want to be the reason that game isn't moved if it's necessary?

isn't that supposed to be announced 30 hrs before landfall?

Using current projections, and a little common SENSE, they could announce Sunday morning and it still be 48 hours out...

Exactly. Imagine the cluster frick if Jindal orders an evac of NOLA and an east to west contra-flow, then the damn thing slams into Morgan City and everybody's screwed. He can't afford to jump the gun and be wrong.

fixed it for ya

The move-up to 11 am is not a bad idea IMO. There is no way in hell the game would be moved to Shreveport - most hotels in north La. are already booked with possible evacuees. If the poster is right and they are announcing something at 4, it's either the game is cancelled or rescheduled. Otherwise, they'd have no reason to say anything other than issue a press release like they did yesterday.

According to G.Gilbeau's article on TD's home page, the St.Police's head cheese states that contra flow takes 700 troopers. Based on that article, he comes across as realllly not wanting to mess with football related traffic, and he will be making a recommendation to the Gov.

i hope they either move it up or let it happen as planned. if i have to evacuate and go through all of that bullshite it would be nice to at least be able to watch the game before i have to leave
