Latest on Burrow?

He can win at LSU, he can be on national tv in every game, he can lead his LSU team in the playoffs against Ohio St. and he can be drafted like Etling.

He can lose at Cinncy, he can lose out on national exposure, he can lose out on playing the playoffs, and he can lose out in the NFL.

Can he block-out the negative LSU fan base?

Burrow= Heisman and finally revenge from that 21-0 butt whooping. With Burrow, we will cross midfield before late in the 4th quarter.

Much better chance of winning a Heisman at LSU, with the opponents he'll face and the national exposure.

I could win a natty at Bama

If winning a title means putting up with Saban’s tryranical outburst everyday, no thanks.

Former Alabama players have said they would not do it again, not sign on with Saban.

Word is he and his family left LSU without committing, wanna think it over.

If any of the Burrrow family are reading this, would like to thank them for giving LSU this opportunity to recruit their son, they truly appear to be a great family, who only want the best for him. Hard to imagine LSU not being a great fit for someone so gifted, would be a great opportunity for him to succeed, but that is for the Burrow family to decide. Wish them all the best, regardless of their decision. Geaux Tigers.

He wont start here either if he only has 20 days of practice with the team before the 1st game..understand now?

Unless he’s better than the other players at his position. Which is actually quite possible.

Update from a Cincy fan, Cincinnati was just a slight favorite over LSU, this was supposedly before meeting LSU coaching staff.

Gotta think LSU overcame this “slight” lead

A guy who has played very little since high school is better than what we have on our roster?

He has played more than the qBs in our program and has been part of a high profile program for a longer period. If he comes here and wins the job then hopefully he is beter than a a strong group which only makes the postion better overall.

They aren’t.

I don’t even think LSU fans are reading all 7 pages of this.

He’s made a decision and message boards didn’t have any part of it. Nice post though

Another interesting tidbit, does Joe really want to compete against his dad on the field, his dad coaches defense at Ohio U, they play Cincinnati regularly.

Sounds like a great reason to be a Tiger fan, just seems like it would feel weird beating up Dads defense or the sons offense.

Big 10 is still a good conference. LSU has lost to big 10 teams and to ND.

I don't know why him going to Ohio State is even a knock on him. LSU couldn't win that conference.

LSU suddenly in title discussions because of Burrow
LSU wasn't "suddenly in title discussions because of ..." in the 2003 season until Ole Miss + Arkansas were victories for the Fightin Tigers.

There are a lot of reasons to be optimistic about the kid.

1- he has put up good numbers in limited action.

2- he has been coached by Urban Meyer

3- he doesn't have to be coached up by our coaching staff much.

Ignore the drip, drip from ESPN and others about Burrow and LSU, they have their own agenda so too some LSU fans.

It ain’t over until it’s over, Nurrow is still in play for LSU.

Here is an article I found on this situation. Sorry if germans.

Latest on Burrow

This was a comment after the article. Take it for what it is worth.

quote:

What I heard was Burrow was very much interested in transferring to LSU until he was greeted with a very cool reception in the wide receiver room where they made it very clear to him that they wanted Justin McMillan to be the starting QB this season.

There was no cold shoulder by any LSU player, towardsBurrow, that was pure bulllshite, if anything the situation at LSU was so alluring that it got Burrow “nervous” that he will be the starter and suddenly realized how much will be expected of him.

Come on down Burrow, you only live once, don’t get nervous about starting, get motivated about winning.
