McMillen could get the starting job and be 12-0 going into the SEC championship game and this board would still be bitching about how he shouldn’t be starting. If he proves to be the best QB come September then so be it, regardless of anything else.
I thought he played pretty well, and here are "fans" complaining about it.
Some people are perpetually negative and will always find something to complain about.

Yeah, why an LSU fan would be upset about McMillan having a good game is beyond me.

I don't know. 2 of Brennan's incompletes were DL knock downs, 1, a drop in the end zone that hit an open Dillon right in the hands.
Brennan makes quicker reads and decisions and gets the ball out faster than McMillan. He's the man in tempo, 1-4 and 5 sets.
He needs work on his touch on fades and judgement on deep routes, but he will master the short to intermediate pass game by fall.
McMillan was more effective executing the play action, in 1-3 and 2-2 sets, and I really like his athleticism. But he had a tendency to hold too long, or pull it down and run too soon.
Narcisse has more work to do, but he could definitely run the Tebo pkg for us.
Honestly, I think our QB room winds up being a real strength. All 3 bring something impt to the table. Geaux Tigers!

I agree start giving him 75-80% of the reps now and he'll develop nicely by the Miami game.

We need a QB that will compete for SEC championships. What I saw in the Spring game wasn't that.

quote:uh, there are no more reps, until fall practice. Good luck with much more development before Miami. Our 3 guys are what they are. Can they improve, sure, but if we're expecting a magical transformation, that ain't happening.

He did much better than Brennan. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be the starting qb.

If we’re running read option then it has to be JM.
If we’re gonna go 4 wide and sling it, it needs to be MB.
Pretty simple really.

It's the spring game.

It's the spring game.
Sure they can get better, but I'm afraid we'll only see marginal improvement, not leaps and bounds.
That's why we were all so focused on what we have at QB in the spring game. It's a good marker for what we'll almost certainly look like in the fall.

Accept it folks
Yup. been told that by a couple of eyewitnesses
They also said Orgeron might possibly be doing this to keep him from transferring. Which is even worse, because Myles will not be ready, getting these limited reps

I'm cool as a cucumber brah.
Having low expectations is liberating.
I find myself more relaxed when LSU is out of the championship discussion by October like last year.

To be fair, how well would they have moved the football and how many of the good plays would not have happened if the defense was allowed to go full speed after the QB.
Let’s not act like the D was really going all out against the QBs.
If our pass pro is going to be as bad as it was yesterday I would start Narcisse and tell him to just run for his life.

I certainly think 4 months of study and independent practice, plus fall camp can make a major difference, yes.

Ask the same question when Miles was there, Why doesn’t LSU develop quarterbacks. Brennan came as highly recruited as can be, he is in his second year in the program and should be ready to take over the job, why isn’t he developing?
Posted on 4/22/18 at 2:52 pm to Slim
From what I saw, it’s his time, no disrespect intended.

I happy with just not having to watch D Etling. JM better than him.

So, we’re gonna start a guy that could not beat out our previous shitty quarterbacks and everybody is hunky dory with that? The mental gymnastics you people are doing trying to say this guy is gonna do good is really hilarious.

He did not look “good”. He wasn’t terrible. That’s about as far as I’ll go
Compared to the others he did. However, the offense was sloppy. Some was execution and some was poor line play.
However, on a positive note, the passing offense looked more diverse. It wasn't just low percentage throws down the field off of play action.
The bottom line to me is that we still don't appear to have a difference maker at the most important position on the field. Perhaps one of them is serviceable. It's on Orgeron to change the poor legacy of the QB position at LSU. (he didn't create it but he has to get it fixed).
