So basically we have Danny Etling again

Not quite...he ran for 69 yards and looked pretty fast and elusive as well.

I agree...some folks are never satisfied. Instead of being a Debbie Downer try to find some positive in the team that you are supposedly a fan of.

Can this quarterback situation be compared to the three way race in 1999 between Craig Nall, Rohan Davey and Josh Booty?

Nall started the opener, but all three played and Nall did not remain the starter.

And they went 3-8

Imagine if somebody told us the day Les was fired that McMillan might be an actual option at starting QB and Lanard Fournette might be the #2 RB in a couple years, who would've believed? They'll write books about this era.

Unless Brennen absolutely sh*ts the bed in the fall or breaks a leg, he will be the starter against Miami

You are losing it. Brennan looked the worst of all three QBs today. Worst Pocket presence. No touch every pass was a bullet. He is not as good as all you fan boys have pegged him to be he is not there yet. He and Narcisse needs another year.

The word from most of the practices was always that McMillan looked like the most rounded of the three. I guess it wasn't just a bunch of bullshite like most here wanted to believe.

Or it's just reality.

I'm be excited about LSU football when they decide to give a frick about the fans and put a championship level product out there.

But by all means, you go ahead and trick yourself into thinking this is good enough to challenge for anything significant.

I mean when the 3 guys are standing next to each other, Narcisse looks like the SEC QB. He has the size, the arm, the athleticism. He looks like the obvious choice. But there's something missing -- the killer instinct. I was really expecting him to separate himself today, and it just didn't happen.

Basically this for me as well. I'll still watch every game, but I won't be planning my entire Saturday around LSU football this year.

Haven’t seen it mentioned yet but dude won back to back state titles so it’s not like he was a slouch.

quote:

HIGH SCHOOL Dual-threat southpaw that led his high school to consecutive state titles in 2013 and 2014 ... Enrolled early at LSU and participated in spring drills ... Rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, Scout and ESPN ... Threw for 2,854 yards and 37 touchdowns with only four interceptions as a senior while rushing for 656 yards and six touchdowns ... Ranked as high as No. 36 at his position by 247Sports ... Earned second team All-District 7-5A as a junior after accounting for 2,692 total yards and 35 touchdowns ... Coached by Joey McGuire.

Come on man, pretty much every single QB that plays for a major CFB program was a beast in HS.

Some people develop. He's better than 4* Narcisse

He also has been at LSU two years longer than Narcisse so not really apples to apples.

I think he wanted show off his arm and pocket presence today as opposed to taking off and running. He needs to stick to his game. Most know he can throw the ball he just needs to keep the chains moving whether checking the ball down or tucking it and running. I would give him a B- he lead 3 scoring drives for TDs.

People need to stop talking about Brennan and Narcisse until one of them steps up and takes the reigns. At this point, both are overhyped.

I just feel like McMillan is out of the Anthony Jennings mold. He is winning because he has more experience, but he has already reached his ceiling. I hope I’m wrong

If JM is the starter then tell me who'll be shopping around? MB or LN?

Maybe both. If McMillan does win the job he's most likely going to be a two year starter.

I was just commenting on your stated philosophical approach, with which I happen to disagree. You're the one who claiming how liberating it is accepting lowered expectations, so if anyone is suggesting we lower the bar, it's you. Project much?
