The ball went over Dural's head. He misplayed the throw. First-game kinks?

It's a touchdown if Dupre keeps running. God knows why he decided to turn around and back pedal like a DB whenever harris threw it,

he turned becuase the ball was behind him. his route was this...

but Harris put the ball around here...

Dupre is a 5 star WR, he didnt just turn and back peddle for no reason

im a huge fan of Harris, hes proven he can make these touch throws, like here vs Clanga, but he did miss this one

wait so Harris threw the ball 10 yards to the mid field logo but somehow the ball and Durpe ended up 30 yards past that?

Dupre misjudged the ball. It happens. 5 star WRs aren't mistake proof

Why can we not throw crossing routes? Bowe, Davis, Lafell, Doucet etc.... used to eat people up on the drag route.

McNeese was well prepared for every play. Does anybody think SEC coaches will be less prepared than McNeese coaches were? Les Miles is as predictable as the sun.

So LSU has never once predicted what the other teams offense was doing? You guys are just miserable fricks. Honestly who cares about the toss dive, its just the same as running it. UGA runs it, the Dallas cowboys run it. I dont know why people gripe about it. So essentially you are saying LSU shouldnt hand it off to Fournette because other teams are going to guess they are handing it to Fournette? Idiot.

Didn't we go deep on the first play against SHSU last year?

the first play being the toss dive was so easy to read when we have a tight end and full back in the game.

Except we didn't have a fullback in the game.

im not happy to say this but Harris obviously missed an easy TD to Dupre who got behind the secondary but had to stop and turn around for the ball.

You got the analysis backwards. Dupre turned to jump too soon and ball sailed over his head. Ball was not short. I was at the game watching it from midfield. The TV gives it that appearance because they are panning from Harris to Dupre with ball in flight. Dupre turned and backpedaled last 2-3 yrds and then jumped for the ball as it sailed over his head. The stupid TV announcer did say that it was short but we did not have the top drawer guys...

Look at the pic you have posted and try to project the trajectory of that ball to where Dupre is and tell me that ball is short. It would have to be coming down at a 60 deg angle if it was short.

the frick. i cant believe i actually have to say this, but that was simply the spot i was able to mark on the screencap. Harris threw it in that direction. it seems like Dupre was expecting the ball near the far hash mark, where he could have kept running in stride, around here...

that would have been directly in front of Harris

but the ball was off or there was confusion about the route so Dupre had to turn and track it

yeah, you know what, the more i look at this (and holy frick there is nothing else to do) im probably wrong about his route, it probably was a straight go route. he starts here...

the last we see him on screen is here...

and then he's here...

the ball still looks a little short but Dupre should have just slowed down, caught the ball over his shoulder and used his body to shield the defender

I was sitting by the locker room in the North endzone and from my view Brandon threw that ball at least 10 yards behind Dupre.

Dupre wasn't his original target. He's looking right at the middle of the field first them found him behind the DB. It wasn't a perfect throw by any means but Dupre kind of looked like he misplayed it a bit. Still, that's a catch I would hope he makes down the road.

That's what I saw. 'Chi changed it up when he saw the first pump. They will get it together. I think those two will make it big together.
