not a bad season.
Beth should use this as her opener for contract negotiations

We just disagree, I think many assistants would do the exact same thing that they did this yr. I’m not dumb enough to think that the salary would stay at that level for long. I do believe Travis Wilson, Singleton or even the current hitting coach would be better than the current mediocre coach. Her contract is up in 2028, you think Scott is renewing at 500k for this mediocrity? No chance.. then she will be at Abilene Christian and giving pitching lessons for extra money

The SB program is at point where if talent was even and the best coach wins, then we would lose.

Every single time…she is about 12th out of 14 in coaches ranking..her vs Gasso today might as well have been Saban vs. Jeremy Pruitt

You do realize that bringing in the talent is a big part of the head coach’s job, right?

How many schools have brought in assistants during the last 6 seasons who have 2 or more WCWS appearances? How many have 4 super regional appearances?

Then how would they be gaining anything then?

Is LSU going to the WS this year? They are more likely to lose a regional then go to WS. Maybe you need to read what I said, several assistants could do what they have done this yr..As far as the contract goes, 275k for 3 years, heavy incentives and then 2nd contract be higher if they were successful. You do realize there are several head coaches in the SEC making 275k right??

Funny how you never actually provide any examples of coaches who have accomplished what you claim these assistants could do. Sure, you could throw an assistant out there with the roster that Torina put together and they might end up with a similar record. That ignores the fact that building a roster is one of the most important responsibilities of a head coach. Would they be able to sustain a competitive team over a longer period of time and build their own roster? Certainly you could point to at least a couple of coaches who have done that over the last 5-6 years, right?

Uh Kenny Gajewski?? You know him lol..The recruiting hasn’t been good at all, a few good players like Bergeron, Berzon, Redoutey, Edwards Heavener …Lassiter transfer, Hodge transfer, Clopton transfer, Daniel not a SEC player, Laneaux not a SEC player , this years freshmen class outside JH is terrible. Torina needs to find another job, she won’t be terminated yet but she will not be renewed absent a WS appearance

He’s been at Oklahoma State for 9 years, so not exactly a recent assistant hire who has built a sustained program. You know another one who did it? Torina.

So, if the players aren’t really that good, she must have put together a coaching staff that’s doing a magnificent job. Of course, that’s the exact opposite of an earlier argument you made about her not getting the most out of this roster. You really can’t have it both ways.

The 2026 class has the potential to be elite and according to interviews by players Neal was the lead recruiter.
Who hired Neal?

I said in previous post she deserves credit for hiring him.. Gajewski has been to 4 straight ws, I would say that’s sustained success to this point, Torina is on a downward slide gradually. Torina is a great person by all accounts , a good family person unfortunately in the SEC it’s wins and losses and that’s it

Jones still better than Daniel?? Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean I’m not entitled to my opinion. The problem with you is you want everyone to conform to your thoughts and opinions and if they disagree they are ignorant. It’s a message board for thoughts and opinions right. Ghost writer for who?

I wasn’t disputing that he had built a sustained program. He’s just not an example of recent successful hires of assistant coaches. Certainly if hiring an assistant were a foolproof plan for success, some assistant hired since 2016 should have built a solid program by now.
