Bell, Landry, Jayquish, Andrews, Hoover, Walljasper, Griggs, Simmons were on 1 team…this team ain’t on the same planet…credit to the hitting guy for making this group a good offense.

But nobody is arguing that this is the best roster. You said it was the worst, which sparked this whole debate. Now you are stacking them up to the best to prove they are the worst?

Again, if Scott is satisfied with winning a regional most years and losing in the Supers, Beth is here to stay.

Yes, she has been to the world series 4 times - the last time in 17 if I'm not mistaken. But, it is obvious other teams are passing LSU up.

Everyone thinks we have had a great year this year. And, we could get on a run and make it a great year by ending up in the world series, but we ended up seeded 9th in the SEC. Miss. St and South Carolina were seeded ahead of us. That's not great.

You mentioned 6 teams that regularly make it to the world series. Why can't LSU be the 7 or 8th team to make it there regularly?

I just think Beth has done the best she can, but now, the program is just treading water.

Look, if they make it to the world series this year, Rope a Dope 10 will call me out and I'll gladly say,"You were right, Rope! Beth is the best softball coach ever!"

You’re right. This team cannot compare to the 2015-16 teams. No roster in LSU history compared favorably to those 2 years. That wasn’t the point you made. You said it was the worst roster, not that it fell short of the best roster from 9-10 years ago. This is the best offensive team since that team. I only said it was the best in many years, which is absolutely true. One bad game offensively against the second best pitcher in the league does not prove otherwise. Offense has not been the problem in most of the games they have lost.

This is the point you are missing. No one is passing LSU up and making multiple WCWS appearances. The programs that are, were already ahead of LSU.

Ok, well, maybe I should say we are slipping and it is not one particular team that is passing us up.

Whether people like Torina or not, she has done a very good job at LSU. I do not follow softball recruiting, but the incoming class is supposed to be outstanding. The hitting has improved, but that has been our biggest issue in the past. Our pitching has been good even though Berzon has had some issues recently. A lot of her issues today were due to an incompetent umpire. Heavener is getting better and can throw the ball at or near that magic 70mph. Perhaps Berzon can increase her velocity next year as a senior.

If 8th in the SEC is still Top 10 in the country, then, yes, it could be good. Let’s see how the postseason plays out before casting judgment on this season.

You’ll learn like others that it is literally pointless to try logic here……

Just keep moving goal post all over the place. Eventually you might land in a spot where you don't look like a complete fool.

The same fans who don’t like Beth would absolutely shite a brick if SW fired her and PAID twice or 3 times as much for a proven winner.Beth makes what her record should be, she’s not making top dollar like the OU coach who competes for championships. If I’m SW I wouldn’t either, why lose more money for WSB.

Berzon is not that type of pitcher.

Heavener could increase her velocity a little, but she is pretty small for a college pitcher.

Gasso is the only coach in the country making 1 mil plus, Beth is top 10(500k) in salary and we haven’t been to a WS since 2017… Scott could pay 275k and get the exact same results. I guess softball shouldn’t have the expectations or results as other women sports

What coach making $275K is consistently making Super Regional appearances?

Another "Regional Winner is great" lover.

I'm already looking at the weather forecasts next weekend. I might make a couple of games.

I'll be sitting near my buddy on the first row who has a large championship belt.

I said at LSU, could care less about other schools…you could pay the hitting guy 275k and he would be infinitely better than Torina.. many other assistants even better than him would love to be at LSU for 275k. Dude, LSU is an average SEC team, pedestrian!! Steve Singleton, Travis Wilson would be a huge upgrade over Torina. They want to win not be a social influencer
