Pitchers who can completely take over a game are rare. Cat Osterman was one. Monica Abbott is another. I can’t think of too many others. Beth had Carley Hoover and Alli Walljasper for 3 years and still couldn’t get it done. Both girls were elite pitchers. Beth’s teams are always missing something. If the pitching is good, the hitting is garbage, or the fielding is shite. It’s ALWAYS something. She’s had more than enough time. I’m not in favor of canning her now, but for the love of God, don’t renew her contract when it’s up. She is the very definition of mediocrity.

She hasn’t had elite pitching since Carly and Allie.. ppl wanted to blame Coach Dobson but it’s pitching that has held the Tigers back and who is the pitching coach? Go hire proven elite pitching coach and things will change around here.

This has to be a joke right. They not even close to the same level as Beth. Beth might need to go but these coaches should not even be held in any conversation as being a head coach at lsu.

Beth was Sunbelt coach of the year twice when we hired her. That was her resume. Maybe we should target the ULM coach, Fichtner. She’s been the sunbelt coach of the year twice now. I’d say that’s a pretty even starting point.
Prob get on the cheap and receive same results as now. If the results we’ve had the last 9 years satisfy you.

You want to be an elite program you need an elite coach. None of these coaches are elite, you would be going backwards. You honestly think any of these coaches could recruit a player to come play for them at lsu? You would need Texas tech money to make players come play for these style coaches.

I’ll go a little slower…
Would I want any of them? Prob not. But the point is the same, Beth didn’t have the resume when she started.
You want elite? Who is gonna jump to come here? You just don’t see that in Softball…Mike White being the one off. All of the elite coaches built their program, so you may need to step back to move forward.

Not really. While I’m sure Mark had a lot of the girls play for him at one time, Emily was maybe his only full time player.
