I feel sorry for you folks who wasted countless hours following LSU baseball for a "worthless" season.

I think there are a bunch of "tough" guys posting in here about how the season is a complete waste if you don't win a championship. It's a retarded thought process and I'm sure most of the people saying that never played a day of anything.

Either that or there are just a bunch of ignorant rednecks...

UCLA was the "small ball" team....a great and unfair advantage was given to them.

Oh, grow up.

They built their team for Omaha. They have been to the CWS 3 of the last 4 years.

Ameritrade Park has been there since 2011. Everybody had time to recruit and adjust.

Then don't watch sports! Because if you keep watching LSU (or any school) in ANY sport (trust me) - you will spend 90% of your time watching shite that "means nothing!"

My statement is referring to college baseball. It doesn't make the season a success just b/c they won 57 games and ties the school record. The teams in the CWS doesn't care how many games you won in the reg season, it's retarded to say that is my point!

Well that's a little different. But winning a conference should still matter regardless of the sport.

But I can't stand people who watch their team win 10 or 11 games in football...win their conference...and don't get to the BCS champ game or lose it and say...the season was a waste of time.

This culture of crystal ball or bust is retarded.

There was a time when a lot of us watched CFB before any BCS "declaring a champion" and you cared about beating your rivals, winning your conference and going to a great bowl...and if the voters just so happened to vote you #1 at the end - well that was icing on the cake or a nice bonus...because you couldn't expect it...you could go undefeated and not get voted #1.

Now it's #1 or bust. Bunch of spoiled brats.

They should be satisfied at what they accomplished.

Nobody suggests that they "shouldn't be satisfied at all with what they accomplished". That's something that YOU wrote.

Well you just showed your complete ignorance for anything baseball.
If you think Mainieri was confident he would get 6-7 strong innings out of Eades or Glenn against quality opponents then you were not paying attention to LSU baseball in 2013. It was easy for them to stay in games against inferior opponents when thay were staked to leads by LSU's offense, but Mainieri would get someone up in the bullpen at the first sign of struggle in close games.

I care that LSU baseball was one of eight teams to reach the CWS and if you don't, that only proves you are a spoiled, idiot type fan.

You are right. The team made it to the CWS and is either the seventh or eighth best team in the country. That's an accomplishment.
