For the people who support the flag and our country, it isn't. But, as a veteran, I can say it is sickening that we fight for the very freedom for people like you, that turn around and disrespect the very the Symbol in which we fight for. Hundreds of thousands have died honoring that symbol, only to turn around and see someone like you with no respect, no honor, for the men and women that bring you all the greatness that this country has to offer.

No, I didn't. Certain people can disgust me without it being political

Don't act like you know me. I promise you've never seen me "disrespect" our flag or country. But I sure can laugh at your hypocrisy in this thread.

And thanks for your service

AlxPin-As a Retired Marine myself, Combat Veteran, 24 years of service, I support Nike and Kap. The reason I support them is I have a RIGHT. All veterans took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. I don't ever recall taking an oath to defend the United States of America Flag.

If you want to know the Truth about the Flag and the Anthem do a lil research. Because what you may have been taught in school is NOT the WHOLE Truth. As for as LSU dumping Nike, well as others has stated previously, that would be the death of not only the football program, but the athletic department altogether.

Why do you have to bring up in every post that you are a veteran? Is that suppose to change the way we think?

Just because you "served", it doesn't make you right.

Just because we support Nike doesn't mean we hate America. It means we aren't childish fricks who think that Nike hates America.

Do you truly think Nike hates America? Do you truly think they are an un-American company?

Because I feel sorry for you if you do.

No it absolutely is a political issue. The original issue was particular NFL athletes voiced their discontent with america's position on race through the symbolic gesture of kneeling through the national anthem . You like a lot of folks either took offense to the methods, disagreed with their statement, both or more likely disagreed with statement and feigned offence for political momentum. Suggesting LSU should drop a company that has a player signed that initiated this political movement for that sake is not just myopic it is suicidal.

does the entire school contract to Nike now or does it go by team?

Nike has a contract with the entire AD, but I guess for only uniforms because baseball has some Wilson and Marucci stuff.

I care - deeply - normally corporate decisions are made in an apolitical manner.

Once a frigging tennis shoe company starts blaring their idiotic social justice bullshite in my face, I am done with them.

I'd go barefoot before I'd wear a Nike product. - In fact I already stopped buying anything Nike when the Kneeling Kaepernick became their political advisor.

Now, I'm going to search thru my stuff and throw away anything associate with them.

The brand of tennis shoe/shirt/uniform has no bearing on our winning losing - so it is a non-sequitur.

our success as a university sports team depends our whether or not we display a "swoosh" logo on our unis??

I must have missed the logic behind that.

Please send all unwanted Nike gear to me. Preferably large shirt/shorts and size 12 shoes. Will also accept any Nike golf equipment.

LSU Equipment Contracts

Looking at the LSU/Nike contract, I dont see how termination is even an option regardless of opinions.
