What do you think he did during the Ole Miss game? Do our fans just get absolutely tanked while watching the games and then come back to the forums and spit out the most ignorant takes?
The entire 4 quarter, He played a glorified standing DE and got BODIED. He's to small, has no move besides a speed rush and got taken off his feet by their RB twice. He has no swim move, he has no spin, he has no bull rush. He blitz wide outside EVERY SINGLE TIME. The expirement needs to end.

We will play a 4-3 under and Perkins will stand up along the end. Basically a five man front.

If the scheme is changing and there are 4 down lineman, a LB will not be a glorified standing DE.

Not to mention outside containment and not rushing past the QB (which I guess can be looked at as an extension of gap integrity into the pass defense). Changing how those seven guys line up won't fix that.
They need to drill knowing your assignment and doing your job into these guys.

If they change to a true 4-3, yes. We’ve run a 3-4. It’s a different animal for LB between these schemes. He cannot play a DE in a 4-3. How else do you think he’s getting on the field?

I feel like we are probably good on the interior but not on the ends, but who knows.
