Are you really flaming about who wants more SRO tickets? Really?!?! Like I said earlier, there should be more demand amongst A&M's students versus LSU considering their enrollment is nearly DOUBLE that of LSU.

And check out this awesome view for $50...
Posted on 12/9/10 at 8:46 pm to Farmer1906
Judging by this pic of what your view would be...it is pretty obvious that the Aggies would be the dumbasses to pay $50 for SRO tickets, not to mention the other expenses they would acquire throughout the day, to watch a LIVE event on a big screen at the EVENT itself...

This is the link to which Farmer Brown is referring. Below is the actual article. Aggie fans enjoy standing at games and most students stand the entire game. The error Farmer made was suggesting that LSU sent tickets back. Not correct. The Aggie Athletics' article does not read that LSU sent tickets back. Students wanted cheap standing tickets that allowed them to do what they do cheaper, that is, stand for the game. In fact, you can still get SRO tickets directly from the Cotton Bowl. Apparently, the stadium was designed to allow thousands to stand for a fee.
COLLEGE STATION, TexasÑThrough the efforts of the Texas A&M athletics department, the 12th Man Ticket Office and the AT&T Cotton Bowl officials, an additional 1,750 standing room end zone spirit passes will be added to the Texas A&M student ticket allotment bringing the total available for Texas A&M students to 1,250 reserve seat tickets at $125 and 3,750 standing room end zone spirit passes with a view of the video board for $50 each.
Current Texas A&M students may purchase two tickets each by presenting a current Texas A&M student ID and a valid sports card for each ticket being purchased. Students may select to purchase either the reserved seats ($125) or spirit passes ($50) while supplies last.
ÒThis is the first time in the history of the AT&T Cotton Bowl for our game to be a sellout before we even visited the two campuses,Ó AT&T Cotton Bowl Chairman Tommy Bain said as he arrived in College Station on Tuesday. ÒThe North Texas area has supported the Classic very well throughout our history and with the move to Cowboys Stadium we have had even more support through ticket sales before the announcement of the teams. When the Aggies and Tigers were announced, Cowboys Stadium even sold out every suite within the facility. The atmosphere will be electrifying for the 75th AT&T Cotton Bowl.Ó
The listed capacity for the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic within Cowboys Stadium in Arlington is 75,815.
Texas A&M students are currently camping outside of the 12th Man Ticket Center windows at the north end of Kyle Field. Approximately 150 to 175 tents were currently in place as of 9 a.m. Wednesday. The Aggie student allotment will go on sale at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9.

THat is one pathetic view to watch a football game. I don't care how big a HD screen they have. I can't even fathom why anyone would want a SRO ticket. To each his own.

Its because those 2500 didn't want SRO.
A&M's students do.
This does not make you great fans. It means you're stupid consumers.
Have a great day.

It's gonna be a great game. Saying a fan base is dumb for buying tickets is pretty weak, even if the view sucks or people have to stand. Just being there is going to be kickass.
I have seats, but wouldn't mind standing for this game, especially if I were a student that was used to standing for the games anyway.
This atmosphere is going to be nuts.

Adorable. Someone's clearly not used to being ranked.

thats not the point, LSU students stand for every game too, but in the SRO section only a few people standing will actually see the game.

the LSU student section will be standing

Ranking has nothing to do with it. I've heard Cowboys stadium is insane and I'm predicting a competitive game.
But yeah, I guess you're cute too. ;) ;)

I understand this, but $50 in comparison to the $300+ on stubhub right now seems like a reasonable deal. Lots of people in the seats are going to be staring at the Jerrytron most of the game as it is. May as well stand at field level and watch it for 80% off.
