“I can tell you that our team, with Cam on offense, are excited and looking forward to performing at a very high level,” Miles said.

Miles has been pleased with Cameron’s tutelage of Mettenberger and expects a big season for his senior quarterback.

“I think, one, Zach expects more out of himself going into his final campaign and is really accepting of coaching,” he said. “I think Cam is a very demanding coach and one that’s knowledgeable, and it helps a guy that wants to compete at a high level. He helps them do that. So it’s really a great time in Mettenberger’s career that Cam Cameron is board.”

The first test will be Saturday at AT&T Stadium against a TCU defense that returns nine starters from a unit that ranked No. 16 nationally in total defense in 2012.

“I’m really excited to see how an actual game operation is going to be under Coach Cameron,” Mettenberger said. “You can practice everything as much as you want, but it’s never really like a game. I’m just very excited to go out there and see how we operate.”

Look, I think LSU's offense is going to be way better under Cam. Way better.

However...

If it comes out looking extremely similar, I'm going to laugh really hard at the meltdown on here. Because all you can do is laugh.

What would be funny is if Cam actually ran this play as the first play of the game and it goes for a TD. Cam would be a considered a genius!

The most famous big game touchdown in the last 10 years was on a short-side option.

Well, it is going to be similar... Very similar. A few more passes to TE & RBs but other than that its an identical gameplan.

The gameplan hasn't been out biggest issue. We need someone who can develop QB's and execute.

We are going to run the ball and play good d and special teams. I dont expect much of a diff. Just less predictability and be better in the redzone and on 3rd downs. People who think we are going to sling it are retarded either way.

Flaccos career total under cam is 220yds per game. we wont sling it.

Not sure what you're expecting. We've basically ran the same type offense for the last 80 years. I just want it to be more efficient.
