I can say that Mett did.
He gave it all.
Most hyped LSU player lately.

PP7 is the only one that comes to mind.

One year from now we will be posting Leonard Fournette

quote:You have to be kidding right? Shaq dominated the Mcdonald's game and had Dickie V comparing him to Akeem the Dream and said he could do stuff the pros couldn't do. There was one play where Shaq blocked a shot and then dribbled the entire length of the floor to dunk on the other end. I thought then that with him and Chris we had a national championship locked up already.

Shaq didn't have much hype.
Not the way I remember it...
Shaq wasn't really hyped a lot coming in, other than Duke also recruited him (and Coach K was gonna redshirt him). He wasn't considered "all-world" or anything like that, just big and raw. Stanley Roberts was the big-name center. There was a buzz around Chris Jackson, but still, he wasn't considered to be a great recruiting steal either, coming in.
Kevin Faulk is someone who comes to mind; he had the hype like Fournette (and Russell Shepard), and he lived up to it.

Two glaring similarities between Pistol Pete Maravich and Kevin Faulk....
they both played on mediocre to poor teams

PP7 is really the only answer here.
He was the most heralded CB recruit in over a decade and could have been an AA on either side of the ball.

I wasn't around for Shaq at LSU, but I imagine that this would have to be the answer.

I'm failing to see how. are you factoring in pro success?
