There is something to say about the culture of a place. I think ATM is has a lot of positives, but their culture is just weird to me. I know some people love it, but it is not for me.
No argument here at all.

People who don't like the O hire, already saw this, so it isn't panick, but partial confirmation.
Only the hopelessly foolish found anything good with the Orgeron hire. For those who did, I give your Jimbo Fisher at TAMU. Way to go Alleva, BOT and all of the other idiots who labored to produce someone in way over his head as HC. I think 0 could manage to coach a good HS team, but that's about it.
I agree with your assessment completely. Eaux does not know WTH he is doing. Geaux Coach Corndog!

You may want to double check a post where you call someone else stupid.
I do agree with you to an extent about A&M though. There is a stigma attached to them that is hard to explain. There is a weirdness factor that hurts them in recruiting.

Ensminger becoming the OC for CEO is reminiscent of Cam being OC for Les. Hope I'm wrong. LSU has become a lot tougher job. Jimbo is an upgrade at A&M and Mullen at Florida is going to be a lot harder to beat

Our offense was simply not good this year.
It was the QB stupid. How can anyone say that Canada's offense got a fair look after but one year? This is a monumental 0 failure that we saw in both Starkville and at LSU's homecoming. Sadly it will play out with LSU living in CFB hinterlands for some years. Yet, TAMU lands Jimbo Fisher. How in the good Christ does that work again? Someone help me understand that.

You nailed it. It's the culture that holds them back, everything else is there.

You clearly know more about coaching, then I do, so hop on the Chancey train.

I will turn against O if he doesn’t get Freeze or Briles and promotes Ensminger permanently.
So will I...I've supported this guy...but our program is quickly turning into a clown show.
He needs to hire someone with a resume that is worthy of the job.

Looks to me like the talk, coming from Chris Landry after week 5, wasn't just talk after all.

"they're" relatively close.

Aggie administration is "not" smarter, they signed a death sentence 10 year contract worth $75 million, dumbasses. If he doesn't work out 4 years down the road you still owe Fisher 45 million.

Ensminger is one of those great offensive minds in college football - just look at the teams in need knocking on his door. O - not a coordinator, but is selected as the BEST coach for LSU in America, WOW. Ensminger - not a coordinator, but selected as OC for a struggling offense, WOW. All this brain trust already on our staff and we lose 3 a year, WOW.

It would take over 100M for me to take a job working for Aleva.

My post from the other thread.
quote:Still -
I thought Canada deserved another year, and I'm not exactly the most tolerant and forgiving fan.
Still, if Canada would have proven to be a bad coordinator in year two, his future job prospects would be lessened. As it is, he can blame lack of success on circumstances and the fog of a new coaching staff struggling to work together.
quote:If this shite happens, thereby affirming my prediction that coordinators would be replaced by Yaw Yaw's good ole boy ghoul buddies, there should be outrage.
Here comes Steve Ensminger

Obviously, O demands complete and utter loyalty as the head coach. He did not perceive Canada as being completely and utterly loyal to him as he perceives from Aranda and Ensminger. Therefore, Canada is out.
For the most part, O will let his coaches do most of the coaching. However, he reserves the right to intervene on occasion if he feels the need to. He did and Canada resisted, which cost Canada his job.

I don't understand why Orgeron could not get along with Canada. Matt Canada has a much better offensive mind than Orgeron does. I am losing confidence in Orgeron as head coach . I thought that is why they fired Les Miles cause he was trying to call plays and run the offense. Seems like Orgeron is headed down the same path. I thought Orgeron said he learned something at Ole Miss how not to interfere with his assistant coaches to let them do there jobs. The proof is in the 1st half of the Troy Game that is how Coach Oregeron would run LSU's offense. Very poor decision by Orgeron! This will start his downfall!

The O legion has their marching orders!
SC, can you make yourself useful in this thread? Give us Orgeron's best gumbo recipe, or at least explain what a damn rougarou is.
