I agree but the schedule is pretty rough and LSU is breaking in New players at key positions

The SEC as a whole should be getting a bit better also

Saw this coming.

Canada "Allegedly" goes out to California to recruit QB Matt Corral.

LSU needs a QB in the class.

Within a week, Corral commits to Probationsanction Massa Wife.

If you can't out recruit Ole Miss for a QB at this point, something is not kosher.

Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is the usually the correct one.

Matt Canada might have gone to California, but he didn't do jack shite recruiting wise.

He gone. (Like Dameyune Craig)

Next season is going to be a dumpster fire.
It will be if Clapp doesn't come back for his Senior year and/or Brennan gets injured in pre-season camp or early in the season .

Both Narcisse (Hasn't played a football game in 3 years) and McMillan (Not an SEC caliber QB) don't have the experience or passing skills necessary to lead LSU to an SEC West Championship.

Is the excuse for underperforming next year "well, we have a first year OC"?

That's because the majority of the entire LSU fan base are uneducated life long "Luzianner" MA's (Mediocrity Acceptors) that have low standards of excellence for everything. (Including LSU football)

Give em 8-4 or 9-3 and they're satisfied.

Not enough of those that desire or will not accept anything less than Championships around to make a big difference.

In addition, as those who have been going to LSU games for multi-decades can attest to, the "Demographics" of the crowd in Tiger Stadium have changed considerably in the last 5 years and that intense passion for LSU Football is not there any longer except for the Ole Miss and Alabama games every other year. (And then only if the game is at night)

It's not about the game any longer, but more about the party before and after the game............

Yes, the LSU "Fan Base" will be running, passing, catching, blocking, coaching and recruiting!

I don't care which side you are on keep Canada or help him pack. This is the first major mistake coach O has made. Either hiring the wrong guy or not being able to work with someone that was your personal hire.. If I remember correctly it took a while to get someone, despite offering one of the largest coordinator salaries in the nation.

This looks more like personal conflict more than ability. A major change in offense with transfers and line injuries that was starting to jell points to O's feeling hurt. Either way it's on him.

Nah. It just takes longer for the O cancer to spread and destroy the program.

Just this last page has been littered with excuses Miles never got the benefit of. CheeriOs are apparently OK with the program going down the drain, as long as Miles was out.

Seriously, what was so great about Canada’s offense this season? All season long, people complained about his inability to run the ball successfully with our running backs. Our receivers had more success in most games. We rarely seemed to get big gains.

The passing game was pitiful as well. We lived on deep balls to the WRs and passed to the backs and tight ends. And don’t blame this on Etling. He was more than competent to throw intermediate routes.

And Canada failed to figure out what to do in the red zone all season. It was torture to watch his play calling in the red zone.

I know the OL has issues early, but he also had a QB, RBs, and WRs in the last seasons as Tigers. The offense should have been better than it was, especially considering the defenses that we faced.

Canada ever admitted in mid-season that he was too conservative.

I think he was an improvement over what Miles did, but I think LSU can do much better than Canada. I just hope that they do.

Here comes Steve Ensminger

Not gonna happen. Ensminger is paid a lot less than Canada and I don't see him getting the job.
I look for "O" to get another established coach. Like him or not Freeze would not be a bad choice. I know about the past but he was able to do what no one else in the SEC has done and that is beat Saban two years in a row.

What the ??? What kind of argument is that?

How much less did O make compared to Miles and did we see him actually getting the job beforehand after a numbing loss to FL and shutout at home to Bama as interim?
