I’d be happy with Dan Enos

Canada wants to leave i have this on good authority, i dont just make shite up. I even posted it a few weeks ago

the fact they are negotiating a buyout tells me this is accurate. Otherwise he'd stay and collect his money or make them truly fire him and collect all his money.

Well of course he wants to leave Lester, but it’s pretty obvious both want out of the marriage

And if LSU wanted him back they’d tell him sorry, we’re not negotiating anything

Is it also in good authority you posted Dan Enos?

This is true.

Of course it will be Ensminger. It’s all about money.

Picture it: O tells Alleva he wants Canada out. Alleva says fine, but I’m not buying him out AND paying for another big money coordinator. Thus: Ensminger.

Hell, Alleva probably figures he’ll have to fire O after next season anyway and doesn’t want to have to also pay off another 3 year $4.5 milllion coordinator contract. Amazing how quickly the whole “cheap head coach with expensive coordinators“ plan went off the rails.

That’s not how it works.

no one has denied that, but Canada set it in motion.

Well obviously they won’t keep him if he’s truly set on leaving

My point is that it’s mutual

Not as fast as it did at Arizona State.

At least we made it through a season. ASU couldn’t keep their coordinators a month in the offseason.

Alleva won’t be here to do the firing if that’s the case. His fate is tied to the O hire.

Lots. Wouldn’t surprise me if we go 6-6 next season. But wouldn’t you rather do it with an OC who is gonna be here a few years and could grow with all the new players? Wouldn’t you also concede that even if Canada comes back, due to his track record of leaving and openly looking for a HC gig somewhere, that next year would almost certainly be his last in Baton Rouge? That’s what you’d prefer?

Alleva is tied to F King. King is not committed to a championship program. Alleva goes nowhere.

Right, which is why they’ll agree to an amicable separation. This will likely involve releasing Canada from his obligation to pay money to LSU, agreeing to non-disparagement provisions, and paying him a modest (relatively) sum to go away.

So Canada was like “hey I want out” and we respond “sure...how much of your buy out would you like?”

Not what the man wanted. "Ensminger" did not want.
