LSU pitching seems to be the most underrated even by BR media guys

The rest of the LSU baseball weekend still has to play out, but it appears now that LSU’s pitching has been very underrated. These new coaches apparently know how to develop their pitchers well, that much seems evident. Before this game, on Hill and Hunt someone stated that “LSU pitching just has to be adequate for LSU to win a lot of games.” But they were not alone on air in overlooking or understating the progress of LSU’s pitching. Just glad LSU baseball seems to be back playing and coaching at an elite level. Thank you Woody!

It’s impossible to have any idea what we have at this point.
We can say that money is capable of striking out a bunch of average players, but that’s about it. Whatever his name is , I forgot, Collins maybe? Anyway, at least that guys obviously healthy after tj surgery, that’s a positive.

It’s good to know that we have a guy that’s a starter that nobody really knew would be a starter after last season. It’s an extra bullet at worst

To be fair, Money was really good in his first few appearances last year. By the end of the year he was unplayable

To be fair Money looks nothing like last year in both appearance and delivered product. His velocity, control, and endurance was evident last night.

Money looked really good. His fastball had late movement and he could hit his spots almost every time. He didn’t have to use his off speed pitches as much. The Minute Maid Classic will tell us a lot about our pitching but I certainly like what I saw.
I actually had more faith in Coleman, Hellmers and Edwards than I did Money so you’re right if B$ can be consistent we have potential to be deep.

It’s one freaking game. Calm the F down a tap the breaks. It’s Maine.

Exactly, his appearance alone shows you he’s got a work ethic. You have to be pretty damn committed to the team and yourself to lose 30 pounds in 8 months

Maine has been to the cws more than ole miss bro. Just saying. They have a natty and 7 appearances. I learned that last night.

Well yeah, you would be crazy not to. We just weren’t there to see the transformation take place.
It takes some big balls to say “Blake money is my ace”, after last year. I’m not sure that all coaches would have started him even if he looked the part in practice.
Tbh , if I was the coach and I saw money being our best pitcher in the fall, I still wouldn’t have started him.
It’s nice to have a coach prove that everyone has a clean slate, instead of just saying it and trotting out Hilliard or fotenot because of last year

Except for one player the rest of Maine’s hitters all returned, that was a very experienced lineup that LSU’s pitcher faced. Awesome pitching display Friday night, that is the headline.

It's the first game, and it was against Maine.

From reports I have read Maine’s hitters are very streaky, they could be nearly shut out in one game then explode in the next. Today will be an exciting game. Some of you need to stop posting that “it’s just Maine.” Why put the bad mojo on LSU?

Not sure how you could know this yet

Football only fans are out in full force this morning. We saw two pitchers last night against Maine and Money = Nola and media underrated the pitching staff after one game

Baseball fans are downplaying LSU pitching. It’s Maine they post. Ignoring that this is an experienced Maine team.

So, how good is maine supposed to be? Since you know so much about them?
They also are probably outside for one of the first times probably with the weather in maine prob not being conducive to practicing outdoors. They committed 6 damn errors after all
