No doubt they are because of the QB situation. I think they are 12-15 until the QB's prove themselves.
I don't see how any team with question marks (and almost all teams have more question marks than LSU does this year) could be viewed any differently than LSU at this point. I mean, what about Florida's "question marks" at RB, or West Virginia's "question marks" at Head Coach, or any of the other teams' question marks? Why would they get the benefit of reasonable expectation while LSU is presumed a flop at their question mark position until and unless they prove otherwise?

No more overrated than a Florida with a crappy and injury ridden defense, or an overhyped USC or Georgia team, not to mention Ohio St. which can't hasn't won a big game outside of their own conference in like forever.

Dude - Everyone can't be overated. You want to see Clemson #1?

LSU will be tough to beat this year. I think any SEC team that doesn't bring their "A" game will be left wondering what happened and shaking their heads post game. This will be a VERY interesting year in the SEC.

IMO, if LSU solidifies their starters in the defensive backfield and QB early in the season, They definitely have a fair to good chance to repeat as SEC champs. After that...who knows?

Having said that, this season could just as easily end with two or three losses for the Tigers. Bringing home the SEC title and the MNC not only involves great skill at MOST, not necessarily all, positions, but also a fair amount of pure luck.

Either way, its gonna be a helluva ride. Can't wait for the season to start.

Think I might have given WVU and Mizzou the nod over LSU given that they have their great playmakers returning and had an exceptionally strong finish.

I don't see that. How are their finishes any stronger than LSU's: they both finished with a loss and a win in their last two games, LSU finished with two wins in our last two games. All three finished 6-1 in the last half of the season. And only one of them finished with a two TD win over the #1 team in the country for a National Championship.

And as for returning playmakers, West Virginia lost Slaton and Rich Rodriguez. Missouri lost their leading rusher, their starting TE and receptions leader, their 2nd leading WR, and their starting LT and C (the two most important OL positions).

I just don't see either teams' combination of "strong finish" and "playmakers returning" as better than LSU's.
