Right now I think the host teams are:
- The 11 I listed
(In no particular order, but in strength of resume)
12. Oregon St
13. Miami
14. NC State
15. LSU
16. West Virginia
17. aTm
18. UNC
19. UCSB
20. Ole Miss
21. Creighton
But in terms of hosting, I'm feeling:
Oregon St, Miami, NC State are squarely in.
LSU, UCSB, WVU are in line for 2 of the final 3.
UNC winning, and Ole Miss winning creeps them up into that above group as well.

Some small positive impact from some of our regular season opponents: ULM has been destroying teams in the Sunbelt tournament. They don't play today because they're in the winners bracket, but it can only help if they keep winning.
Southern plays a game tonight in Chicago against a team from the MEAC. They're the better team, they should pick up the win.
On the negative side, the Louisiana teams in the Southland are bad. They aren't really helping us at all. McNeese and SELU are still playing though. It would help if they can win a few more games.

Every single little bit can help right now.
I'm pissing myself off though because my thoughts have been.
- Alright we beat Auburn 2/3, we should be in. Then it changed to, we need to beat USC.
- We beat USC, we should be in. Then it changed to, we need to win another game to have a chance.
- We lose to MSU and then beat Auburn, we are in. Then it changed to, we need to win one more or get some help to be safe.

On a somewhat related note, D1Baseball needs to get the issues with their site fixed. This is the time of year when you need that scoreboard lol

I switched to Warren Nolan. They let you customize a scoreboard, so you can select exactly which games you want to keep an eye on. Much better. D1 lost my viewership when their site stopped working for me yesterday.

Agree on the Warren Nolan site. Also, thanks for compiling all that data for everyone.

Last I heard, that series was canceled.

That's because the narrative has been flawed from the beginning. It's like that joke, "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you". There is a group of teams competing for the last few spots and it will be a moving target based on what the others do.

quote:Correct. The organizers of the game failed to meet the pre-event terms of the contract so Southern said GFY.

As soon as I get off work I will be hitting the suds for sure.
Why does Auburn have a lower RPI than LSU? We won or series with them, beat them twice in the tournament, all I can see is the strength of schedule.

Yeah, I just saw that. Oh well. SELU is winning right now. McNeese and Bryant play later today. I always pull for our regular season opponents in their conference tournaments.

I got them and SC mixed up. Still don’t see why they have a lower RPI.

Miami has jumped on UNC early. It's 4-0.
Also of note, not that it matters, but ECU is down 5-0 to Witchita State and is facing elimination. Possible bid stealer coming out of there, to leave UF and/or Mizzou at home.

I don't know if the decision will come down to them two, but if it does, Florida will get the nod. Florida swept them. And also, it's Mizzou and Florida, of course they're going to pick Florida, are you kidding me?

I'm not even sure if ECU's conference doesn't maybe have at large bids in there that are still alive. I just brought it up because it's one of the only games with any significance going on right now. I'm just glad we aren't having to sweat it out like UF right now.

Houston, UCF and UConn are likely at large teams from the American conference as well.

Miami and UNC are tied in the bottom of the 9th. Would be nice if Miami can win.

Probably so but I doubt all 3 of those bubble ACC teams host
