Well, we had two losses already going in to that game, and it was Ole Miss' first loss. We were the highest ranked two loss team after that, I believe.

People keep reverting to this like it hold water. Where is it written that a 2 loss team cant be ranked higher than a 1 loss team. We did get our shite pushed in by auburn but how do you drop out of the top 25 for only loosing 2 games to the Num 1 and Num 3 teams in the country???? Ho do we go into OT with the Number 5 team in the country, have the refs Gift wrap it, and we drop 5? And Bama moves up. I dont think we are # 1 but we skull frick half the teams infront of us with our shitty QB and Offense. These standards and pools are a complete Joke. we need a 32 team play of to settle this once and for all.
