Expected to heap praise on the coaches because of the “comeback”. I’m sorry but considering that I have standards for this program, that game was not good enough for me.
I have done my share of criticizing McMahon but this year I decided to concentrate on the players and trying to enjoy the games. Was McMahon responsible for PV hitting all those threes? We had a hand in their face on many of them and they made shots all night long that would have been in the 8 to 9 difficulty range. When you're hot, you're hot. Basketball is much more about individual talent than football. John Woodward is recognized as the greatest college coach ever but without Walt Hazzard, Gail Goodrich, Jabbar, etc. he would not have won nearly as many titles and games. So is MaMahon a great coach? No. But can you blame everything that happens in a game on him? No. Leave it at that and let's try and win as many games as we can and celebrate those that we do, even if we don't play to our potential every time out.

Again there is nothing wrong with criticism. It's judgement that is rampant in here. You are correct. Same with TT. Anytime a team shoots above 70% from 3 it's an anomaly. But these idiots attribute it to bad coaching because most of them have never played a competitive sport in their life much less basketball. PV was #354 in 3 point shots. I doubt they prepared defensively for that and they were taking 25 foot stepback contested 3's. I knew it wouldn't last and of course they reverted back to their normal shooting % in 2nd half. Most of these guys don't even go or watch the games which makes their opinions even more suspect.

I love when coaches who make millions of dollars a year gane plan by hoping there aren't anomalies.

What happened in both those games is very simple and basic. We couldn’t stay in front of ball handiers on D which led to over helping and wide open 3s. The narrative he’s selling is a crock of shite like always. This is their trick, they claim criticism is fine yet any criticism that’s ever happened is dismissed and attacked. In a vacuum it seems reasonable but if you would compile every argument over criticism of MM you would end up with the mcmen saying that we have the first ever perfect coach who’s never made a mistake.

Dude take your meds and chill. And no PV wasn't taking wide open 3's. You obviously weren't at the game. If you were then you are lying. I had people sitting behind me basically wowing at some of the shots they were taking and making. Stepback 3's from 25 feet is not an open 3 but you wouldn't understand that because your unathletic arse has probably never attempted a 3 point shot in your life except from your couch. Now #3 the stud from Scotlandville was having his way getting to the goal but the coach you say sucks and never makes in game adjustments started doubling him and forcing him to give up the ball and low and behold suddenly they reverted back to their normal 3 point % and couldn't hit them. But you keep doing you.it is free entertainment.

How did McMahon sign MULTIPLE top 15 national classes which resulted in a FOURTEEN AND MOTHERFLUCKING FORTY record if he was "underfunded"???????

Anyone who wants can go watch the full replay or highlights. Your lucky magic excuse is hilarious.

That's a question you have to ask the rating services. They miss all the time. Cory Chest ring a bell? It isn't that complicated. Mcmahon has his best team the year he is given the most money. You are in denial but that's ok. Just sit back and hope he loses all his games so your dreams can come true. You know like a true LSU basketball fan.

Question:

Cory Chest is averaging 3pts and 5 rebounds per game. Does Beard suck or do the ranking services suck. Asking for a friend. And that’s before SEC play.

In the meantime, you will go on defending this PATHETIC excuse for a coach, like the idiot you are.

Corey Chest wasn’t a top 100 recruit. The mcmen are the ones who hyped him, called him an NBA player and the missing piece in 23-24.

In his last couple posts he’s claimed, recruits underperforming is the recruiting services’ fault, not McMahon failing to coach them up or properly evaluate talent and when other teams shred our defense it isn’t his fault or a lack of good defense, it’s Magic and luck. And if people don’t swallow that crock completely they’re just morally corrupt.

I'm not saying the player rankings are perfect, of course they aren't.

But this "coach" has had way better talent than 14-40. Helen Keller can see this.

I really believe these McMahon activists truly don't want to see the basketball program get back to the Dale days, and to where we were headed with Wade.

My honest belief is that they're "baseball bros", and they FEAR (rightfully so) that "muh baseball " will be relegated to the kids table if/when hoops ever gets to the Bama/Auburn/Tennessee level.

And they're ONE BILLION percent correct to fear that.

Of course they’re not and there’s some context involved that if you’re not a hoop head you may not get but a good litmus test is comparing those classes to the rest of the top 20 in those years. When you do that it really shows the problem. The first year FSU at #20 was the only other sub .500 team and had a worse record than us. Last season only Arizona State was worse so in the two years he’s had top 20 classes he’s ranked 50 out 52 teams record wise. Thats not some glitch of recruiting services leading MM astray and btw isn’t it his responsibility to vet the players he brings in?

I have said if he doesn't make the tournament this year he is gone. I'm just not an emotional loser who finds his only joy in life at TD bitching about basketball. Talk about context.LOL

I never hyped Chest. I thought he had potential but he never developed offensively and he still hasn't. But there sure were those Mchaters claiming it was his fault he didn't develop. But again LSU wasn't spending the money other teams were. They did better this year and I will judge him by that this year. Get over yourselves.

How are you related to McMahon? Your defense of any criticism against him is unhinged. Borderline worrisome.
