We only had 162 total yards on offense. But according to your math that was the defense's fault as well.

You are incredibly dense if you cannot see how terrible our offense was.

"The offense didn't have time to score"?

The offense had as much time as they needed.

If they hold on to the ball and drive it then we have more TOP.

The defense is on the field precisely because the offense cannot stay on the field.

And yet it's the defense's fault?

Do you regularly take Dumbass Pills before you post?

and 6 drives that were less than 3 minutes in length

The defense forced Florida to punt the ball toward the end of the 3rd quarter, with the score 10-3. With less than a minute to go in the 3rd, LSU had the ball 2nd and 5 at it's 30 yard line.

2 false starts and a sack later, LSU had the ball 3rd and 22 from it's 13 and had to punt the ball. The defense put the offensive in a position to tie the game in the 4th and they blew it. They had to punt and Florida took over at mid field and kicked a field goal. The offense had more to do with those 3 points than Florida did. Instead of driving down the field and making it a tied game or kicking a field goal to make it 10-6, they shot themselves in the foot and gave Florida the ball back in GREAT field position.

After that field goal, LSU took over at its 30, still with a chance to get back in the game if the offense scored, but they failed to get a first down and turned the ball over on downs, giving Florida the ball at LSU's 39 with 6:30 left in the game

Game was over at that point cause Florida was going to at least get a FG, but the defense stepped up and forced a turnover, giving the ball right back to LSU. And again, the offense didn't do shite.

LSU had 4 possessions in the 2nd half and was able to gain a whopping 29 total yards of offense.

The defense held Florida to it's lowest point total and its lowest yardage total of the year. Only a complete fricking retard would blame the defense for that loss

it is unbelievable to me that you blame lack of possession time on the defense. chavis has our D ranked very high on a national level (esp our scoring D) and is the only reason we were in every game this year. you are blind and ignorant of football.

Bend but don't break gives your offense no time to score.

Fire Chavis!

There is so much wrong with your argument.

#1. Time of Possession is the product of both the offense AND the defense.

#2. Time of possession, while important, does not always correlate with a win. In fact, in a game like this where the defense only gives up 10 points despite the time of possession differential, a competent offense would have a very good chance of overcoming that.

#3. LSU had 6 drives that lasted less than 3 minutes...out of 8. And, one of the other two 3:00+ drives was a 4 play drive. LSU had 6 drives out of 8 in which it had 6 or fewer plays...out of 8. In other words, the offense was a MAJOR contributor to the time of possession battle.

#4. LSU's offense managed just 1 scoring drive...a FG.

Yet, you've come to the conclusion that the defense was the major cause of the loss. Well done.
