It's not like Coastal Carolina is a no-name program for those who have followed college baseball for a while.

This guy gets it they have been a good team for a while now. Even if you don't follow the game that close but know baseball, you should know what kind of club they have.

For example, CCU got swept by GaTech late April/early May

Georgia Tech won 2 games in the NCAA tournament as a #2 seed. That was like 2 of their 9 losses.

This team is way more experienced and better offensively than LSU. We still have better pitching.

Saying that CC isn't as bad of a loss as we thought isn't the same as a moral victory

I said after the second game they beat us that they were the best team we played this year.

Another win. Their starter just threw a 130+ pitch complete game

They are now 3-1 in the CWS. Beat TCU again tomorrow and they are in the final.

You are such a jackass.. Everyone who knew anything about CCU said that they weren't a team to sleep on going into the super regionals.. Everyone was trying to compare them to stony brook and that's just not the case. Just because nobody had ever heard of CCU, they thought they were a pushover..

This isn't a cinderella story, these guys are legit.

137 on four days rest! Not only makes us look at least a little better for losing the Super, but I doubt CPM would push one of our kid's luck that far.

Still, they're going to have a tough one tomorrow. Their bullpen is pretty shot, and TCU's is still in pretty good shape.

What many fans don't realize it that visiting teams can really get pumped playing in front of 11,000 people at Alex Box Stadium. Instead of being intimidated, those teams sometimes wind up playing their best ball of the season.

We had a great season with a young team.
