She is the worst basketball player in the NBA. But still falls into stats. Half her rebounds are her own missed layups, and her turnovers are literally highest in the league per touch...which negates half of her stats for that game.

When are the awards for worst TD poster? Is it November?

Can I ask for a June/July mid-year? This dude is the worst alt/poster I've ever encountered in 20 years on this site.

Thank God a POS like you wasn't on the Karmelo Anthony jury.

Dude, a lot of us don't like Angel Reese because she's a racist POS. Buy a vowel and get a clue.

Liking a specific Black person does not exempt someone from holding racist beliefs or practicing discrimination. Racism operates on multiple levels—ranging from broad societal structures down to unconscious personal biases—meaning that positive feelings toward an individual can easily coexist with prejudice against their racial group as a whole.

You're describing stereotyping not racism.

Example, your first sentence. Genuinely liking any black person for any reason proves that you dont hate black people purely because of their skin. If you did you wouldn't like any black people for any reason purely because of their skin. Racism 101.
2nd part of your statement, pointing out that I dont purposely put myself in the hood after dark isnt racist its stereotyping due to the factual information of crime statistics. I also wouldn't trek into a mostly white biker bar that has a history of trouble. Is that racist or is that stereotyping based on factual knowledge? Facts arent racist or discriminatory. They are just facts interpreted as such.

Some are asking if Angel Reese is the 2nd greatest athlete to ever come out of LSU

I think Seimone Augustus had a greater impact, despite Angel being on a NC team.

Angel is shooting 43.5%, the league average is 44.5%

And for the record, 800 of her 900 rebounds are other player's misses

It becomes difficult when people keep repeating the same trope to dismiss her ability as a rebounder. It doesn't help that she throws it out there, at times, herself. And, of course, there are always people who see racism in almost everything.

In response to the "mebound" trope. Roughly 11% of her rebounds are "mebounds".

She is shooting poorly but still with 1% of of the league average.

In response to the "she is just taller than everyone else" trope. She is shorter than the average center in the WBNA and only 1/4" taller than the average forward.

It's OK not to like her attitude, to point out that her shooting is poor, or to point out that there are other, better all-around players, but that does not diminish the fact that she is a fantastic rebounder.

The fact that some continually try to do that is why others start to throw out the racism claims. While I don't doubt there are some motivated by racism or misogyny, I do not think that is a lot of it, certainly not most of it. I think the main culprit is simply the current loss of civility in our society and social media in particular.

I like her because she wears fake eyelashes and when one of them gets all fricked up on her face, it gives me something to point and laugh at

Angel Reese has become the second fastest player in basketball history to record 900+ rebounds. Not just WNBA. All of basketball.

Please stop mixing men and women's basketball records. They are not comparable in any way. It is a total apples to oranges comparison.

This is like when people were talking about Caitlin Clark as if she had broken Pete Maravich's scoring record. No, she didn't. She plays women's basketball, which is not the same as playing men's basketball.
