Albany is probably the cream of the crop of our cupcakes. They're usually at the top of their conference. But I'm sure their is diminishing focus playing these small conference teams.

Just going to reserve my melt for Vanderbilt depending on what happens. I just don’t see a world where Kim doesn’t end the season at least in the sweet 16.

Like I mentioned in another thread: the end of the road is probably the sweet 16 if Smith can’t give us the production she was providing before her injury last season.

Poa is a huge liability. She can’t score and she can’t control the offense.

8% (1/13) from 3 is pretty concerning. Wasn’t going to matter today, but that’s shockingly poor

I thought LSU was going to lose according to this thread, but see they won by 22 or something.

I'd like to imagine they are coasting and trying different things out. Still a comfortabe win when it mattered.

22 to 1 scoring streak to seal the deal, says it all.

They played a pretty good game outside of looking rusty in the 1st quarter.

3 point shooting was god awful today but I wouldn’t expect that to be the norm.

Smith isn’t the same player she was before her injury.

If she was, this team would be scary good

Todays game was the equivalent of a first round tournament matchup and it played out like it. LSU is the bigger, more physically gifted team playing a smaller group of women who play team basketball and don’t tend to go 1:1. They got out to a quick lead and gained confidence which increased their energy and led to a double digit lead.

LSU had a chance to let this game get away from them but the team (finally) responded and figured out how to out physical Albany toward the end of the second half. Once LSU made the run and came within one possession of tying it to go to halftime it was over. I had no doubt after that point that the lady Tigers would win this game.

However, we continue to have issues. Kim has publicly stated multiple times that we don’t have a true #1 point guard and that was on display today. We also have problems down low when Morrow is not on the floor or not 100% dialed in. Wolfenbarger is good. But she doesn’t always play strong, and she could stand to gain about 10-15 lbs if she is going to play down low against true post players. Her height compensates for some of that and she has decently quick hands but she can improve her strength.

All that said, we have enough talent on the team and Kim coaching so it’s hard for me to see this team not getting to at least the sweet sixteen.

Mulky has lots of talent sitting the bench. Not sure she knows who to play.

I’m pretty sure she knows who to play.

MLB is a joke. Certain Team's gross revenues are LOWER than other team's payroll.

Major changes needed.

And halftime comes and the HOF coach makes the adjustments and blows them out. Just win baby

You blew out a rap team in the 4th quarter. You will not do that in the sec. Hopefully the team can turn it around.

HVL is averaging 19 points a game. Scored 21 against South Carolina and 21 against notre dame. Anyone saying we can’t use that is lying to themselves.
