Florida game really worries me. Guarantee you will see a lot lot of what you saw last night to their fast little backs and WR's.

hohum. AP doesn't mean anything. Don't even know why people talk about it anymore? It doesn't even figure into any part of the Final bowl selections and standings.

I agree. Polls in general are worthless right now unless you are number one, and now have a bigASS bullseye on your chest.

Yeah CRAP to that notion....your a red target for a bullseye so the next team tries even harder to make them more relevant int eh rat race of season polls.

The first team ever to have a higher 1st place vote count (42) than the coaches IQ points!

Yeah, Bama and Florida will be REALLY motivated now. Crap, is right. I was hoping we could sneak up on them.

Well, It's time for me to man-up & stop by here & let ya'll know that was a helluva game. Ya'll deserve the #1 rank.
I do think we coulda been closer (even snuck out a win) if we wouldn't have given ya'll the ball 4 f'ing times.
On the bright side we saw that our D did a decent job for being so young & DAMN...Geno passed for 463 yards. Can't wait till next year, he'll be a Sr & it'll be his second year under Coach Dana.

Great game & I hope to get a chance in the future to play ya'll again. (Def. with different results) LOL

Enjoy your Season & hope ya'll win out the rest.

To be 4-0 with this early schedule (ranked opponents and away games to boot) is a wonderful tribute to this team and coaches. Still there is some room to grow: (1) tackling, (2) more blitzing, (3) fewer penalties. But the burning desire to be the best on the field at every position is VERY apparent. Name of the game is takeaways and no turnovers yourselves. This is happening in Tigerland.

You all realize the last time we got ranked #1 initially in a season was in 2007 and then played UK the next week and lost. This is getting creepy in how it is mirroring 2007 in many ways.

next week LSU sleepwalks to a 17 point victory over Kentucky and bama crushes Florida and we go back to number three.

Ya neither one of these things will happen. This year's Kentucky team is a shadow of the 2007 team that had a great quaterback, and Florida will not go quietly. I suspect they even give Bama a run for their arse. Don't go to on that game! Bama will show us truly how good a team they are next week. I don't put any stock in that Arkansas game. Arkansas has very little offensive power without Mallett or Davis and hooooorrrriible defense.

Maybe our players will try and work even harder with a new motivation of PRIDE as the NUMBER 1 team

It's nice being #1 but the only time that it matters is in January
