How dare Penn State not pay his full contract!!!!
Maybe LSU is seeing if he really wants to coach again or not.

Not even a lump sum of 9 million.

i've been a lawyer for 37 years and know more than most. i was connected to some big timers back in the day and let in to the back room at Phil's Oyster Bar. Have been a small town lawyer for most of my career. I don't know any of the power brokers at this time, I don't have sources but I do have a pretty well informed opinion. I hope I am completely wrong, but I doubt it.

Kelly is also trying to speed up the process.
The contract states LSU can future date his termination date in the notification, which apparently happened sometime after the BOS meeting. LSU can date it right before hiring Lane.
BK is trying to force the issue by going to court.

I find that incredibly hard to believe. Your posts reek of know-nothing, read an ESPN article and over-reacted like the rest of the dear facebook fanbase.
The real bottom line is this - as long as LSU gets Kiffin - LSU wins. Thats really all that matters. Otherwise it is impossible to even argue that LSU has been harmed in any shape, form, or fashion.

Settle this thing and move on. Pay BK 20 million up front and 200k per mo for 6 years. If he coaches again he gives up the 200k per mo. After investing the 20 million and adding the 200k per mo he should get north of 40 million over the 6 years. Cost LSU 20 million,,he 200k per mo is hot dog money to LSU.

LSU shouldn’t pay anything outside of monthly installments until BK’s arse becomes a serious candidate for jobs and/or takes a job to offset his buyout. If he wants to play games and sit on his arse, LSU should absolutely call his bluff.

Thank goodness that our fans, boosters and admin is shameless.....even in abject failure.
Spend 10 million a year on a coach with a guaranteed payout. Coach thinks, " hey, I just got guaranteed generational wealth" then sort of half asses it.....LSU fans then say, " we'll show the college football world....we'll increase the salary ......but shorten the term.....yeah, we learned from our mistake."

One of the dumbest, DUMBEST things I've seen on this board for the last couple of weeks is many, MANY people saying this battle with Brian Kelly will make the LSU job less attractive to potential coaching candidates. SMDH
And since they are that dumb, I won't even attempt to explain why not because they just won't get it.

They didn't. That's the reduction of his buyout based on the new job he got. At least get your facts straight.

Not even a lump sum of 9 million.
As specified in his contract that they are honoring. Again, get your facts straight.
