Pelini is pretty much like Canada. A lot of unnecessary stuff that never really works no matter how much you tweak or simplify it.

I'd be ok with keeping everyone sans Pelini. I think the offense gets the most forgiveness with everything they had to deal with. However, that 1st and goal series to lose to Mizzou still haunts me.

I wouldn't be too shocked if we returned a lot of the coaches, IF O is back.

Re Linehan- lots of that is pretty much overreacting. He's the PASSING GAME coordinator, and we had a pretty strong passing attack, from 3 different inexperienced QBs (including 2 true freshmen).
Johnson led the team to 2 TDs in the redzone, and those were nice plays set up. Team was 8-18 on 3rd down, on the road against #6. You can only call the play, the QB has to make it work... Johnson did.
Maybe we need a "Running game coordinator" too, to figure out who will be the primary back and get that moving.

600 yards to one of the top offenses with 4th string CBs and a depleted defensive line, and barely enough players to field a defence. That was horrible against Miss State, but it was a new system with many new players, but that isn't horrible under the circumstances.

What about Joe Lombardi with the Saints as Passing Game Coordinator. He currently serves as the Saints QB coach.

Agreed, if that's not the case O is sealing his own fate.

I hate this board. We gave up 457 last year to them. That was with all of the NFL talent we lost. Dude will be back and deserves to be

Remember this is "social media"...the place where all the "experts" congregate.... many of whom I'm sure played and followed their playing career with coaching....don't ya think?

They’ll give Pelini one more year to fix it/save $, I suspect E retires/steps back, Lineham is gone, Cregg should be gone, and we get young hire on offense. Can’t lose this class.

Nix, I guess “word on the Street” was right this time lol and better than 5-10% haha I’m impressed the way the team ended!
