I would love to agree with you, but they match well with the things we like to do in our typical game plan. They defend the run well and they have a dynamic qb that can make plays.

Truth is, LSU's typical game plan may not work in this one, and we'll have to open up the playbook to win this game.

Expect a lot of early down play actions and 3rd down runs to keep the defense honest.

All in all, I think we go into halftime close, and LSU pulls away late 3rd quarter.

Primetime SEC game in Death Valley, 100,000+ cheering on....might not be a blowout but MSU doesn't have a chance in this one!

They think we are young and that we have to rebuild. In Baton Rouge we don't rebuild, we reload. They said last year was gonna be a rebuilding year and we won 10 games. We also have Miles, Cameron, and Chavis which in my opinion is the second best coaching staff behind Alabama. We also have the most talented young athletes in the country.

I think Dak gets his 100, but we hold them to less than 200 rushing. I also think we destroy their passing game.
This is key. With our ridiculous-arse secondary, we should be able to one-dimensionalize them. Play man-to-man and crowd the box. Keep Dakota running towards the sidelines.

It wouldn't shock me to see Chavis go to the 3-4 like he's done vs aTm in the past, which means that Beckwith might see significant playing time.

The Media expects LSU to be a World Beater in 2015-16; won't be in their camp in any way before then.

You know who isn't convinced about MSU? Vegas that's who. LSU was a 7 point favorite on Monday and has risen to a 10 point favorite today. That is a large jump fans

I jumped off the horse at this...

LM style of football will not allow this 42pts unless the def. and special teams add to the scoring.

It will be a ground and pound game that stays close only because we are so predictable on first and second down.

Hope I'm wrong and we open it up a little but not holding breath.

LSU in a squeaker 23-17

Les' style of football averages 38 ppg against Mississippi State over the course of 9 years. We can definitely put up over 40 points at home.

Miss state has gone 15-11 over the last two seasons not beating a single ranked opponent. So they are now coming into to DV and going to beat LSU? lol.

A current 0-15 streak vs ranked opponents since 2010.

I really don't think we just run. run, run, all game. I do believe we will open it up. It's the perfect opportunity.

Watch for a Dural (SHS) type of first play to put their secondary in place. I bet we have a plan similar to Sam Houston, and will blow them up if we score on that first drive. Entire offense will shine this game.

I hope so. He doesn't need to leave the field IMO.

Its like some people havent watched the games. If LSU offense is moving the ball early and the defense is stout we easily put up 40. By mid 3rd qtr its almost not fair when we start reeling off 7 yd gains and then bust a long run.

We aren't as young as most fans think.

We only have 2 underclassman in the starting defensive roster, and one of them received an abundance of playing time last year.

I didn't say it, but I'll still endorse it. One game does not define a coach or staff.

I swear as the game was going on this was the thread I thought about. Glad to see people have a sense of humor about it.
