If not, my apologies, but that caller went on to say that LSU has done a great job with screens and draws this season.

FWIW, I was that caller, and I did not say one thing about screens and draws.

Not really. The SEC is just weaker. Offense gets worse; defense gets better. It's almost a wash.

1210 has some terrible radio shows, but I still listen to them, I am not sure why.

I also hope we put it on ole miss, things have seemed quiet regarding the tema this week, not sure what that means, hopefully its focus.

with all do respect to our offense, jarret lee sucked it up and we should never have stopped running the ball.

If Jefferson, Scott, Eugene, and Peterson all don't get hurt in the Alabama game, most people (including Bama fans) believe LSU wins that ballgame.

before JJ got hurt, LSU's offense was still right about 100th in the nation and last in the SEC.
You do realize the difference between ranking 100 and where we were last year is hitting on a couple more medium range passes down the field. That's it. In addition, how many plays over 15 yards have been called back due to penalty. It seems to me when we get a penalty on offense, often it negates a nice gain. We not only lose the penalty yards against our total yards but the yards gained on the play also disappear.

ETA: Whenever the Harmon Forecast picks a Vegas underdog to win straight up (which it rarely does), it's usually a pretty good indicator of what's to come.... LINK

Hey Xman... what is Jefferson's completion percentage and where does that rank in the SEC?

Also, what do you know about Ole Miss' secondary?

Are you going to ignore the fact that after the half they dominated Tech..which had 70 some odd yards and 3 pts? The 2nd half defense was our real defense.

La Tech wasn't a bad team. Not indicative of its won loss record. Their running backs are good. There defense wasn't that bad. Lee still snake bit from last year. Tech came close to winning the game.

defensively - absolutely no question

offensively - I'll give you a wash for the simple fact that this years team doesn't turn the ball over as much but last year's O scored points much more effectively which is what offense is supposed to do....so yeah I'll give you a wash on offense

Guys, here's what happened against tech. BEAT UP TEAM! a defense that came out flat and turned it around in the second half. Umm...did we forget that J. Lee came out and went 7-22???? if JJ is in the game..no WAY that happens. Running game was good...looking forward to seeing more Keiland. I think this was definitely a hot team going into the bama game and they played like heck and got screwed in the end. Cut the team some freaking slack! we lost some key players for last weeks game that are rested and back this week...look for that hot streak to return on Sat.

jj at 75-80% which means he is playing against a legit SEC team on an injured ankle no matter how slightly it is injured......that means we are very close to seeing the JLee pain train show up in Oxford this weekend

I hope it doesn't happen but I can't fathom Jefferson with the normal confidence in his running or planting to throw....JMHO
