I didn't read all 6 pages but if no one has said it yet...
All SEC schools not named Kentucky and Vanderbilt will always be football schools.
Alabama - no question
Arkansas - Track and Field powerhouse but still a football school
Auburn - great in Swimming but still a football school
Florida - very good in many sports but still a football school
Georgia - see Florida
LSU - great in Baseball and Track and Field but still a football school
Ole Miss - Not much other than baseball since integration but still a football school
Miss. St. - baseball and basketball have had some success but still football first
Missouri - some basketball success but much more success in football
South Carolina - Baseball is close but still football
Tennessee - see Missouri
Texas A&M - see Arkansas

How about have more than half the box show up to a non sec weekend series before you make that comparison.

Tiger Stadium was half empty a couple times this year.

Regardless, baseball sells out on a regular basis and if you added more seats it would still sell out.
Depends on the capacity you're talking about. Sure, the Box sells out on a regular basis as it is. 50,000 seats though? 60,000 seats? Do you really think we'd sell out? Let alone 100,000.

quote:Les has let so much air out of the tires since 2008 or so, I would agree with you on that. But overall, football rules, especially since Saban came in around 2000 and competely refocused the program and the state. Football now with Les is going through a hiatus of sorts, it seems like everyone is just waiting until we can finally turn the page and move on. PM can't afford another poor showing in the post season though , or he's going to find himself on the hotseat too, what with all the talent he's piled up over the years.

Haven't read all of the replies, but no. You are wrong, Clyde

You really don't have a clue, do you? I'm 64 and graduated from LSU. While I was in school, all of the football games were sold out. This was during the early 70's. You couldn't find an LSU vs Ole Miss ticket whether the game was home or away. LSU fans cared about football way before Saban entered the picture.
