The latter part of 2016 was the most enjoyable lsu offense since mettenberger. I'm cautiously optimistic. Just gotta find a qb. (Wash, rinse, repeat)

The 2016 offense ran over weak sister teams like Mizzou, Southern Miss, and Arkansas. Chavis' defense at A&M wouldn't stop Edna Karr's offense.
All I know is that we failed to score against the team that you MUST beat to have any hope of winning the division.
I'm hoping for the best.

I have zero faith in the offense until I see consistent results over the course of the majority of the season.
I think most folks are in a "I'll believe it when I see it" frame of mind.
It dates back to years of Miles saying he was working on the passing game and that "it's coming".
With exception I cannot recall when LSU had an offense that could consistently move the chains with a mix of run and controlled passing. Sure we had some sustained drives by brute force against some teams but there was never any faith that we keep other teams off balance with play calling or the ability to execute a varied passing attack. I really can't think of using drag routes, slants, bubbles and flanker screens, etc.

history has proven that you have to be able to run the football to win titles.
If we scored on every possession but only needed 1 play, would you be upset?

Tired of words. Ready for action.

How dare you be skeptical after last year's off season. It was "Matt's offense" and we were running Air Canada.

It’s all going to depend on the QB play, of course. It’s supposed to be a fast-paced kind of spread offense with a lot of opportunities for the receivers to make many explosive plays. If the QB can put the ball in the receivers’ hands as opposed to the defenders’ hands, it will be a pretty good offense. We’re going to have a very solid offensive line, we are loaded up at the receiver spot, and I believe we have the coaching between Cregg, Sullivan/Joseph, Robinson, and Ensminger and five new offensive consultants to pull it off. Geaux tigers!
O is finally going to bring us a new dynamic offense. I’m more than ready for it. However, again everything hinges on the QB play.

Well, last year we had Danny Etling. So offensive wise we were limited with what we could do on offense.
Meanwhile, according to the players, as opposed to the coaches, we have three SEC quality QBs. So let's let this QB competition play out and hope that whoever wins the job is better than Danny Etling was.
We will know more after the Spring game unless it is rained out like last year's Spring game.

Danny "broke records" in 2016 and there was a lot of hype coming out of spring and fall camp about how good the offense was and how the defense couldn't stop them.
That is why a lot of people can't buy in and need to see it to believe it. This is when I believe O's biggest strength as a salesman comes back to bite him. I mean being a salesman in a good way.

The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. If it works, I'm all for it.

All the pieces of the puzzle are there.
However, like I said, everything is going to depend on the play we get at the QB position, but nevertheless, I'm optimistic that the QBs we have on this team are better than Danny Etling.
We will find out soon enough.
