I hate this good try shite! it was a tough loss and a game they needed to win to increase their chances in March. LSU played poorly down the stretch and it SHOULD negatively affect the rest of your night !!!!!!
with that said, get your arse to the Ole Miss game!!!

I do think this team deserves more support from the fanbase though, which will really help us at home against SEC competition.
they needed this win for fan support.
and to those 1000+ season ticket holders that didn't show up: give me all your tickets for the rest of the season. thanks.

Virginia is a good team. Even though we lost, it was encouraging. The Marquette win was not a fluke. Right now, this is a bubble team for the tournament. If O'Bryant develops an offensive game, this will be a good team that can compete with most teams.

Doubt it, at least 10-6...we only went 10-4 OOC against a fairly meh OOC overall

I think 10-6 as well. But the SEC is far better than a season ago so you never know if 9-7 could do it. Doubted. I think we are jumping the gun at this point talking about the big dance.

But we beat Marquette!!! I heard somewhere on the intertubes that they were the best independent program in the history of all independent programs. Are you telling me that Al Gore is a liar?!?!?

Do you not want the Marquette win to be considered a good win or something? Does it bother you?

If you watch basketball then you know Marquette is all that plus a bag of stale doughnuts. It's a resume win, but not a great one ATM.

Good game by the Tigers. I am impressed how well the team is doing defensively. The games against Marquette and Virginia show we can compete on a top 20 level.

I do see improvement albeit, I am discouraged that it has taken three seasons to show what a LSU program should be capable of.

Looking forward to the next 16 SEC games + at least 1 in tourney. These games will be the mid-term and final exam for this season. It appears that we can at least win 7 or 8 SEC games judging our talent level at this moment.

I am all for Trent getting another year to complete his orginal contract regardless of our final win total/ post season play.

My bad.

UVA has a much better team and Bennett has to be one of the top 10 coaches in college. If we could've pulled this one out it would've been an even better win than Marquette.

Still, you gotta like these Tigers compared to the last couple of years. Let's hope TJ can keep them moving forward.

Great game, tigers. Looking forward to being an LSU fan again, it felt weird pulling against em!

This was a defensive showcase for both teams....definitely the best D we've faced all season. You were able to make Mike Scott a virtual non-factor...not an easy thing to do.

Impressed with LSU, I really think this win will be big in March. Hamilton was awesome, wish we could've gotten him, I know he considered us.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Yea, it's a tough loss. Gotta turn it around on Saturday vs. Old Piss though. We really need that one with the brutal first 7 SEC games we have this year. Still love our defense for the most part.

Me too. If we'd have won tonight there might have been a chance at 9-7. That's why this loss hurts so much.

I was just happy to see that Hamilton could dunk.

I was a little concerned after he Big Babied that dunk against Grambling.
