even while at LSU Saban was always an 'every other year' sort of coach.

Yeah. Hopefully, someone will once again wave another job in his face somewhere promising him more money.

Heck, who knows? Maybe that is already starting to happen.

Maybe that's why his team collapsed against a mid major.

I think Bama will have a frustrating year much like LSU had last season.

nah, they got a good d and should be able to run, not to mention Julio. they got a good shot at 9-10 wins.

I didn't read the article but Peter Finney is a notorious LSU nut greaser.

It will be interesting to see the drama unfold when the Notre Dame job opens up in a couple of years!

Alabama-Bama hasnt won in Ttown since 1999.

So this is the reason Bama will win?

Look, last year your team was better than it will be this year, and you needed overtime and 4 JL interceptions to beat us.

You know we are going to be better than we were last year. We know T-town doesn't mean shite to us (like you said.....going on 5 wins in a row, there).

I think the Bammers are getting scared, quite frankly.

What do LSU, LaTECH and UL-Monroe have in common? They've both beaten Alabama.

You might want to try that again.

To me, if a team can't get up for a bowl game, let alone a BCS bowl game, that is the sign of a shitty coach. I think Saban is a great coach, but if Bama fans want to use this argument, then it is not a good indicator of Saban's coaching prowess.

Yeah, $aban NEVER let LSU go into a bowl game unprepared, especially in '04...oh, wait, nevermind.

The way Bama and LSU have recruited, we are going to be the top teams in west for years to come. Ole Miss will be right back down after they lose Snead.

The only impact on Bama losing to a mid major like Utah is that, if the Bama fans have any ability for rational thought whatsoever (which is often doubtful), they must conclude that Saban is a mere human being, not the second coming of some deity...he proved it at LSU by his record and losing to not-as-talented teams and he proved it once again by not having his team prepared for Utah. Saban's getting closer to his five year limit at one school...I wonder what's the over and under on when he leaves "for a new challenge." But then, I'm more concerned about our Tigers as I think we're going to have a great year and We gonna beat Tebow & company this year to surprise the talking heads!

[quote]Here we go again with the meaningless, useless Sugar Bowl ever played[/quote

So Bama's first BCS bowl in years was meaningless to the team?.....keep telling yourself that.

BTW, it fine if Bama fans say "Bama is heading up and LSU heading down" but the reversal couldn't possibly be true....God forbid.
