This in spades, bruh. The criminal government is mostly to blame.

Goddamn, what a dumbass. Those are ENDOWMENT numbers. Not one penny of any of that is going to be spent on NIL.

The rant is not where you should get business advice.

If this was a logical line of thinking, you’d see Duke building a powerhouse. Wait..

By this endowment definition vandy and missouri should be the sec powerhouses and bama and lsu the bottom feeders

I have news for you. It’s been pay for play for 80 years. Now payments are in the open.
This is a lazy argument.
Prior to NIL reforms, under-the-table payments were often secretive, potentially illegal, and made from individuals. With NIL, athletes can participate in commercial opportunities (think businesses) openly and without fear of violating NCAA rules. While individual donors might have offered temporary financial support and given LSU an edge because of our rabid fan base, NIL provides athletes with a sustainable and ongoing source of income from much more deep-pocketed businesses - of which Louisiana LACKS.
This is not that hard to understand why this is perilous for LSU - especially with Texas right next door.

But Alabama doesn’t? NIL money isn’t limited by geography.

We are going to lag behind unless every Joe LSU Fan donates 10 or 20 bucks to the Collective. If we can get statewide buy in and buy in from alums abroad, a few million people each donating a little will add up and we will be able to compete. But we need buy in from a ton of people because we don’t have a few donors who can drop 10s of millions each.

We are second to last in the SEC behind Mississippi State in academic rankings.
Too bad one of our dumb alumni signed a coach for $100M.

School pride, state pride, love of our culture will all take a back seat to the almighty dollar.
We need to start recruiting a different type of player than the kind that go to the highest bidder.
Build a complete program of culture guys and just maximize their abilities. I’d rather see that than what it seems like it’s becoming.
Kids that don’t even have enough pride to attempt a tackle when the ball carrier is running next to them. Kids that won’t learn the scheme. Kids that transfer at the drop of a hat.

Good thing this won't be around much longer

I think the game is changing and the better programs will be those with the wealthiest alumni who are willing to put up the money to compete. Not saying there won't be very wealthy schools that just don't care about the football team ie Harvard, Vandy etc ......... Endowment is just a reflection on how well the school donors give. LSU is close to dead last in all of college football universities. Those schools that are really into their football AND have the wealthiest donors/endowment are about to rule. I hope Im wrong but unless LSU can come up with the money some other way, there are some tough challenges ahead.

We just ADDED $1.3 billion to our endowment. ADDED! Your figure for LSU is wildly inaccurate although it was accurate 4 years ago.
