I think all these percentages are wonky especially when “fully” vaccinated doesn’t equate to same ballpark of vaccine efficacy with J&J or account for prior infection plus say one mRNA dosage, but is this the % the players, players & coaches, or players and all athletic staff?

Testing college athletes for a virus that has 0.01% chance to kill them is the part that has no reason or logic.

Than add on top, that if one believes the vaccine works... they wouldn't be impacted.

Nothing concerning this “pandemic” is logical. BTW no way LSU plays UCLA in California

Except, no, you don't. There does not have to be an arbitrary percentage requirement.

You are a hypocrite for criticizing this one while living comfortably with...

18 to vote
21 to drink
17 for statuatory rape
67 for full retirement benefits
and many more.

Wrong (although none of those examples are relevant since we are not discussing government regulation in this thread). None of these age cutoffs are arbitrary. They were enacted only because they were able to show a substantial and reasonable connection to a legitimate government interest. (i.e, age of consent, level of maturity, average retirement age, etc.)

There has been no such determination relative to percentage of a small population group being vaccinated. It is an arbitrary number that has no connection whatsoever to the "purpose" in enacting the requirement.

Like how all of a sudden people think they have a right to know someone else’s medical information. I could have swore we had laws saying you don’t have that right.

Definitely agree. According to those who make these policies, it means our team can magically not contract or transmit the virus.

Those teams with 79% vaccination, however…..gotta watch out for them.

How? Literally every number you set it at, if you take 1% off you could say the same thing. You have to set it somewhere.

Don't try to rationalize with this idiot it will get you no where.

Well done LSU Admin. Very proud to see Woody and the Admin don't look like we all at LSU and Louisiana are members of the Flat Earth Society.

Interesting you make that comparison that because it was the science from the "scientist" of the time who said the earth was flat.

So true, and so awesome.

I think he was trying to convince me that somehow society gets herd immunity by a team of say 100 people getting a shot.... science.

So, do I understand this correctly? Everyone wants the football players to get vaccinated so they can watch the games, but don't want to get vaccinated themselves? Otherwise I don't understand why so many people upvoted this thread and downvote the other vaccination threads.
