4 hits vs Texas Southern in 9 innings. It's been a bad two games

yes and all I say to that is that is baseball. Plus LSU started some of their backups in that game.

No lineup has been set and there are some guys who are just in a slump. The runs will come. Glenn had a rough outing. That's pretty much all that was last night. There are gonna be some good players in this team. Everyone just take a deep breath. It's all gonna be okay

Give some credit to that pitcher for ULL. He is not bad at all. Very good control and hadn't given up a run this year until last night.

You seem to be the one that doesn't "get it."

It's baseball. It happens. Your expectations (if you really have any) are unrealistic.

In any event, you chime in in seemingly every thread and stir up crap just because you, apparently, find it amusing. Don't believe me? Look at the quote you typed.

You're a horrible poster.

This thread furthers my point that baseball brings out the worst of the worst of rantards

Yeah, but with basketball, most of them don't really care. Football is more mainstream so more of the retards SORT OF know what they're talking about. But baseball retards have the entitlement (because of our program's success)and ignorance that set them apart IMO

Pretty much every year pm had been here...until you change the type of player you want at the plate by recruiting a different kind of player, then pm will already have his prototype...

2006 - This pretty much makes your point right here. Not sure if serious though.

I hate when we loose!!1!1!

Even Skip knows we have a MLB pitching coach and high school hitting coach who has missed on some recruits as well.
The cut down philosophy is hurting LSU when ULL has two former LSU players and Ole Miss has a stud LHP that left LSU as well.

Dudes it's one game. There are 56. I do think PM needs to set a lineup soon and stop moving everything around. Regardless, we're gonna lose a few. It's baseball.

It will snow a foot in Baton Rouge before ULL wins a National Championship in baseball. Let them have their fun tonight. Their program hasn't won 6 NC's.

I'm not saying they'll win, but in baseball anything can happen. See Fresno State's run a few years back.

I think the main problem is people here still want 1990s and even 2009 HR gorilla ball and doubles to the wall. That just isn't happening in college baseball. Look around the country. Almost nobody has power hitters anymore and nobody damn sure has more than 2 guys in double digit HRs. 10 HRs is considered a power hitter. The game has changed and LSU fans don't like it. They believe if they aren't winning 15-1, then hitting sucks.

With these bats you can expect lots of 4-1 and 3-1 games, even against inferior competition. Last night's game is fairly meaningless. Win 2/3 SEC games and you host. That's all that matters. Our pitching is probably good enough to do that and our hitting is no worse than most teams.

Just look at the HR leaders from last year. The top guy was Kris Bryant with 31. He was the #2 pick in the draft and has legitimate 40-50 HR power in the majors. The next few were a 10 HR drop and mostly played inferior competition (Elon, Troy, etc.) Then at 18 HRs you had Kyle Schwarber who is probably a top 15 pick if he repeats last year's performance.

Basically, LSU fans don't wanna accept that a power hitter in this era is a 7-10 HR guy. A basher and best power hitter in the conference is probably a 15-17 HR guy.
