It's puzzling that we have a hitting problem since we have the best hitting coach in college baseball. And with a lot of experience at that.

Honest question - Have you ever watched baseball in your life, LSU or otherwise? I'm not talking about 1 or 2 games here or there. I mean have have you ever followed a baseball team of any kind for a whole season or more?

I have no doubt we would have made it a game if we would have gone 9 innings. That game was a "gimme" for ULL. Now we get to listen to their schit for a while!!

No we aren't. Look at the threads on here. Look at the comments regarding the game last night. There are not a lot of people on this website that really understand baseball. The people that understand are easy to pick out.

Not really. 100% of the people seriously freaking out about this game don't know dick about baseball or the nature of the game. I'm not saying people that are disappointed in losing are idiots. There's a difference.

Baseball's a quirky game that has many more variables that play into actually winning games than BB or football do.....ever actually try to hit a baseball coming in at 90 mph?? Much more easily said than done.
We'll be fine!!

People are so bad about taking one baseball game and drawing ridiculous conclusions. There was a lot of pre-mature exhilaration on here after the Toledo game when we mashed a lot of very average pitchers that night.

I am willing to bet that LSU's offense is going to fall somewhere in between what we saw vs. Toledo and what we saw last night.

Obviously you didn't catch on to my sarcasm. That's ok. But ya I know very little about baseball. I didn't know anything about it even when I was Allstate for 3 years in high school and played in college. But your knowledge of th game is impressive.

The ole default on this site. Someone says you don't know anything about baseball, so immediately resort to your Uncle Rico days of playing high school ball and claim you played ball in college. The Rant is like 80-85% former college players I'm pretty sure.

There are a lot of idiots on this site that say what you said in a serious manner. Not terribly easy to detect when someone is fricking around. You could have easily just said you were sarcastic and moved on. Instead you had to be a douche and mention how you were all state and played in college, as if I have to believe you and that somehow makes you an authority. Congrats, bruh

No, I just noticed you being a douchebag trying to brag on an anonymous internet message board about how you were all state in high school.

So, if you were being sarcastic, does that mean you do or don't believe we have hitting problems?

Not saying you're wrong here, but you've done the same thing in the past I believe.

You should search through my post history and find it.

No thanks. I just vaguely remember you using the "appeal to your own authority" by mentioning you played in college when arguing with me about size of power hitters. Maybe that was someone else and I'm not remembering correctly.

Not sure how anyone can claim we have a hitting problem or are great at hitting at this point in the season.

Weekend series in SEC play will let us know EXACTLY where we are.

This is true. It's hard to judge anybody considering the competition we've played. Not complaining about the competition, as every school does it, but you're right in that it is entirely too early to make a judgment. After our 2nd SEC series, we'll have a good idea if this team has Omaha potential or not. Hell, it may be premature even then. Baseball is definitely a marathon not a sprint. Otherwise, Justin Upton would've won MVP and the Braves would've been crowned champions.
