Wisconsin was not ranked to open the season. Not sure about auburn, may not have been either.

Yeah, he couldn't maintain the winning, but he damn sure left LSU with about a 60+% winning record and a better program than what he inherited.
Maybe you were still in diapers and cant remember that LSU didn't begin football in 2000.
