i tried a couple of times..stupid hard..plus one thing that people either look past or don't think about is the obscene amount of money it takes to play mini tours if you don't have status on PGA or Nationwide tour. most of the guys on tours such as hooters, adams etc. live off of breadcrums and spam..the worst ones are the guys that have families and wives and will prob never make it but are still pursuing their "dreams".

and who are the two guys from vandy that are trying it on the mini tours??

NO all of the time.

Chris and Travis from Bishop were both asked to play from sponsors.

OK ... I really do not know who you are talking about. I just assumed that Travis was Travis Coxe.

I was going to point out that the sponsors ROI last year in Travis was not very good since he made zero money and had a stroke average of 77.

there is not a whole lot of money being thrown around at mini tour guys these days...

yeah, SOME people have worked out pretty favorable deals with local sponsors, but it's much harder than it was even a few years ago.

hey ougel, those stm kids were pretty good, eh? haha

Correct and with the exception of a very few players in the world if a sponsor is not looking for a tax deduction - they are in it for the wrong reasons.

exactly,,MOST backers of mini tour players are millionaires who use it as a tax write off or they are close friends or family of the player.

for example i have a good friend whose dad own Acadian Bottling and that's his backer. He's actually a pretty legit player, he will be playing in the Nationwide event at Le Triomphe and already has a Mini-Tour win.

Thats him and he was approached by lots of people. As so Casey Crain. Hell Derek Sanders was too. Even Blaine Patin. If you are good and play well in tourneys people will find you.

Hell I was asked and I never played in college.
