I agree with updating the rest of the stadium before filling in the upper deck. Regardless it is just sad on our fans part that they choose to leave games early.

I wonder if they are going to reroute south stadium drive or just build over it.

The southwest corner would overlap South Stadium Dr.

Well I never owned a stadium or a team, but I am a master of those build-a-whatever sim type games... and you can't go wrong by maxing your income (more seats) asap, so you get more money quicker, thus able to make more improvements sooner.

Get the income, then worry about repairs.

LSU to switch to field turf

This is just an excuse to get that PURPLE TURF in isn't it?

Guys that are throwing out the new capacity at 100K+, stop.

The new SEZ UD will be more about suites than seats, IIRC.

It might be a 2-phase project.

1. Install suites/club to mirror the East and West

2. Add and upper deck

Those were just photoshopped. There was an article written by Alleva, IIRC, suggesting that LSU was trying to determine how many suites it could fit into the SE-EZ. The waiting list for suites is incredibly long atm.

A neighbor of mine here in Atlanta works for the company that did the East Upper expansion. They didn't win the bid for the West Upper. When I mentioned the South Upper expansion to my wife, she said, "Oh yeah - he's moving to Baton Rouge and they're in the bid process to do the South."

I would really, really like this to be true. Getting tired of the snide comment about how ugly TS is atm.

They will add seats.

There's a wait list and people will buy those tickets.

How many seats do we think this would add? Who knows if we would leave it gapped on the sides for air flow like Bama did or have it fully connected. But they added suites to theirs and the EZ upperdeck added 8,500 seats. Lets assume we match that, in addition to the already 92,400. The 8,500 would put us at 100,900.

I want to say the gap is for airflow through the stadium because with it connected, it would get hot as hell. Not positive on that though
