but are we win a contest to see who has the largest stadium? I am not. I like our stadium, just clean it up and add some nicer, modern facilities.

I am all for stadium expansion. It would make that side much more attractive and it never hurts with recruiting. You don't hear people in the new upper decks complaining about restroom facilites because they are nicer like the new ones would be. Also it would be a huge undertaking to redo the plumbing for the existing bathrooms. Many times the remodel is more expensive than just doing it from scratch. More bang for your buck. Also would really hold in the crowd noise on that side... Lets do it, I will chip in $20....

It would be nice if they could figure a way to have more gates. One gate for 15 sections of the upper south end is insane. It takes forever to get out of the place on days where fans actually decide to stay for the whole game.

LSU should put upper decks on top of the upper decks before worrying about expanding the south endzone.

Any estimate on what the new capacity might be? 110,000?

Are they talking about filling it all in at the top in the South end zone? That would have to bump attendance up to 105,000ish right?

Just glancing at the map it looks like we could add 10 sections. Say 500 seats per section (25 rows of 20), that would add 5,000 making capacity 97k+. I would love to see capacity exceed 100k but it probably wouldn't get there during this addition.

If it matched the architecture of the East/West UDs, it would be closer to 110-112K.

The upper decks hold about 12K each

And there's more space there to build in than the width of the current two. I'm assuming they'd connect them. So.. more than 12K at least.

I thought it was 14K. Either way.

I would be willing to bet that the SEZ expansion would include many more luxury boxes.
