1) Is it possible for CBS to choose 2 primetime night games?

Not possible. It happened only once earlier (2011) when CBS used their night game earlier in the season, but when LSU-Bama ended up as 1 vs. 2 they sold their soul to ESPN to get a 2nd night game. Realistically, this would never happen again.

2) any chance CBS chooses GA LSU as the primetime night game instead of LSU Bama this year?

No chance. CBS has to announce their 7pm game date a couple months before the season. They chose 11/3 this year.

I am so confident that this game will be at 230 I have already got a hotel for Friday night.

I will be very happy to be wrong in the case and I very much hope I am wrong

Besides LSU-Bama, what other game did CBS have in primetime in 2011? I know they had to cut a deal with ESPN to get the "game of the century" in primetime but didn't remember a 2nd primetime game on CBS that year.

The primetime game/weekend is always predetermined. In 2011 it was predetermined to be Alabama Florida but then LSU and Alabama ended up being #1/#2 when they played so CBS cut a deal to show it in primetime. It did so well rating wise that they've been showing it as the primetime game ever since. Hopefully they will cut a deal for the Georgia game to make it a little more special.

They've already run promo ads for the 2:30 kickoff, they won't change it now.

Is CBS only allowed to do one 2:30 game a year at Tiger Stadium?

Well if that's the case then it could potentially be back to back 2:30 games with Georgia and Miss State.

It's going to be a day game.

Oct. 13 The favorite — Georgia vs. LSU So here’s the thing. Everything about this matchup suggests it’ll be the best in the SEC that week. The atmosphere at Baton Rouge will be electric for the possibly unbeaten Dawgs to come into town (much like Jordan-Hare was last year). But I have to think LSU is doing everything in its power to make this a night kickoff. CBS only has a 3:30 p.m. ET slot for that day, so that could be the only thing preventing this showdown from appearing on their airwaves. Don’t sleep on — Mizzou vs. Alabama Again, people like watching potential first-round quarterbacks. People also like watching how they perform against teams like Alabama. If Lock continues to build on his record-setting 2017 season and adds to his draft stock in the early going, this is a unique matchup that CBS could take, especially in the event of LSU getting a night kickoff for Georgia.

No, CBS has two doubleheader Saturdays but only one includes a night game.

11/3 is 2:30 and 7
11/10 is 11 and 2:30
