I agree. I make it to 1-2 games a year. While I have never personally seen these mobs or takeovers, I’ve seen the culture change around Northgate in general.
When I was reading about the couple that was killed leaving Tigerland, it made me realize that there is a tremendous amount of bad karma surrounding the university. Serial killers, frat deaths, girls dumped into the street, unsolved murders, several drunk driving deaths. That stuff happens everywhere and isn’t limited to race, but I feel like it’s more prevalent at LSU than say, Auburn or Tennessee or another random school. This latest culcha trend is going to be part of that soon, I’m afraid. It’s only a matter of time before some little kid and his dad are caught in this type of mob and somebody gets killed. Then what?

Not sure if its logistically possible but can most of the campus or where you tailgate be closed to thru traffic.. On Gameday, the entire Ole Miss campus closed to thru traffic and only non-student campus resident cars allowed in and those fans with parking passes which is not many as you have to be in close to upper tier of the UMAA Foundation donor wise and then have to purchase a parking pass on top of that. There are unloading areas for cars to drop off tailgate stuff but only allowed for a few minutes per car.
I bet if LSU put obstacles like this in place a lot of this thuggery would disappear as it's just too much trouble.
