Lol Jeremy Hill was not slow and plodding. WTF
Neither does Alley 1.0 (pre injury).
Post injury... unfortunately an apt description.

Spencer ware

Spencer Ware could do a standing backflip in full pads and helmet. He wasn't lightning but he had a great first cut, made people miss, and was an elite pass catcher (also very good baseball player). He also was a good NFL running back.
I don't think Noah Cain is going to be Spencer Ware.

Converse has to get it together from a health standpoint
That position is concerning. Converse and Banks are banged up, and it appears a walk-on transfer from McNeese is getting first-team reps in their absence. LSU's first 22 can compete with most teams, but damn, do they have some serious depth issues.

Jarrick Bernard-Converse did not practice
I’m concerned that he isn’t going to be the contributor most hoped he would be.

Nick Brossette is the comparison.
Fast enough to do damage if he gets into space…But not making a lot of people miss…and not running away from anyone.

Jeremy Hill does not belong in this conversation. He’s second to only Fournette in being able to hit a home run in the Miles/Orgeron era.
He hit homeruns cuz he was incredible at setting up his blocks not because he was fast. he ran like a 4.6 or something at the combine.

Emery just cannot do it apparently? And players with injuries missing practice already?
Aside from DL, team has little, if any, depth too.

Secondary will be the primary failure, when the shite hits the fan, IMO

I dont think it was a dig on Emery, just a comment of Cain getting work in

You guys are about to be somewhat disappointed I think,. He's pretty average. He is slow and plodding. Was very overrated early on in recruiting then his ranking was corrected.
Cain highlights
After watching some of his highlights from Penn state I disagree, he looks to have decent vision, shiftiness, and drives legs at end of play fighting for extra yardage. He looks to be able to catch as well so think Denbrock will use him a pass catching back as well. Cain is a durable back that just had some bad luck with injuries in his time at Penn st, he may be the healthiest he’s been in a while and think he will surprise a lot of people.

Really concerned about the secondary

The more I think about it the more I think Cain will take the most snaps at RB Week 1 at the Superdome.
ND's offenses heavily relied on the RB being able to block and picking up short yardage. Emery is a more explosive, home-run hitting type of back that doesn't fit Kelly's offensive profile. And with our O-Line being questionable having a RB with experience and better run blocking will be invaluable.

We are now starting to see why we aren’t ranked in the pre season

Agreed.

Watching the film from today Nuss and Howard easily throw the best looking and most consistent balls out of the QB group. Daniels has some zip on it but throws some ducks as well.
Obviously Howard will redshirt and it will be exciting to see him in the future. But it’s interesting to see Daniels and Nuss split those first team reps as well with Brennan seemingly being stuck working with the 2-3’s. Maybe that’s just coincidence but that’s twice in a row during the media session.

I could see this, yeah, that's fair.
